From grandson:
Blood//water is about WHEN- not IF- the various manifestations of the shitstorm that is karma shows up for those who have done wrong. It could be a climate disaster, or a revolution by the people - something is coming, and when it shows up, will they beg? offer money? admit their wrongdoing? what will they do when it comes for them, when there is blood in the water?

LYRICS
We'll never get free
Lamb to the slaughter
What you gonna do when there's blood in the water
The price of your greed is your sons and your daughters
What you gonna do when there's blood in the water…

Look me in my eyes
Tell me everything's not fine
Oh the people ain't happy
And the river has run dry

You thought you could go free
But the system is done for
If you listen real closely
Theres a knock at your front door

We'll never get free
Lamb to the slaughter
What you gonna do when there's blood in the water
The price of your greed is your sons and your daughters
What you gonna do when there's blood in the water…
When there's blood in the water!

Beg me for mercy
Admit you were toxic
You poisoned me just for
Another dollar in your pocket

Now I am the violence
I am the sickness
Won't accept your silence
Beg me for forgiveness

We'll never get free
Lamb to the slaughter
What you gonna do when there's blood in the water
The price of your greed is your sons and your daughters
What you gonna do when there's blood in the water…
When there's blood in the water!

I am the people
I am the storm
I am the riot
I am the swarm
When the last tree has fallen the animal can't hide
Money won't solve it
What's your alibi
What's your alibi
What's your alibi
Whatcha gonna do when there's blood in the blood in the water
When there's blood in the water

I like that the father is clearly an important person in their society and shown to benefit from the havoc he caused. Then he has to face the consequences when his own son suffers because of him. “The price of your greed, your son and your daughter.”

For the people who dont understand, the water in this city is poisioned. And the son tries to open the tap however the mother stops him so he dosent get poisoned. The son's father is the primeminister of city, and he makes a deal with another man, he is given a briefcase of money and a glass of water. The dad thinks the water is cleans and drinks it, and while hes heading back home, he starts feeling the pain. Also explains why the son is static in the bathroom bc he drank the water that was in the bathroom. The flasning images are showing the events of when the water was poisoned.

No matter how cool this music video looks, it's and honest look into political corruption.
  • “What you gon do when there is blood in the water?” Vampires: “drink it?”
  • I’ve seen plenty of different lores, but here’s my own! First the water used to be normal, however to make a perfect life the sent some awful substance into the water that made people go crazy, after a while people forgot what water used to be, becoming almost robots. However this company comes in and tries to fix the water, however in the pursuit of greed they only make it kill you instead of making you crazy. They try to start marketing the new water hence the ad in the beginning. However the CEO aka the father knows the water is poisonous and that’s why the sinks are locked up in his house. The reason he doesn’t just take out the plumbing is he want’s his company to be put in a good life. So he can just take off the chains when guests or paparazzi come by. Life seems good until the CEO is forced to drink the water by some skeptics, at first he want’s to back out, knowing the water is awful, however he mustn’t cause suspicion so he end’s up doing it. The water end’s up killing him. I took a lot of inspiration rom other theories, however I think this one talks more about the crazy person and their role in the story, or at least an explanation. Also it’s like 3am, so yeah don’t be the grammar police. :)

I can't drink a glass of water comfortably anymore

Omg. The video went from a peaceful, 1930's looking family, to a fricken crisis

This is a rare occasion that the lyrics are better then the music motive. I like when the instruments/music fill the background and the singing even with the distortion is clear and up front. I can understand what he is singing with out raising the volume. There are some instances were i have to look up lyrics online to even know what some songs are about. And its no coincident that the instrumental version is more popular in these examples

I love how the music video actually has something to do with the song and it’s not just something random
  • Moral of the story: Dont drink water from sinks/bathtub edit: no u fucking tv it's not good for you also you can't eat Belle bath water and that RXX sign means it's a drug edit 2: you thought I was gonna say thank you for the likes? From what I've seen based on watching this in slow motion, I think I know most of the lore now. Tell me what you think :D Here it is: An organization called RXX (thanks Eggy115) we see in the video decides to do some testing. On children, of course, because anyone with a heart would do the same. (joke) They develop a poison and try injecting it into someone. The child doesn't die, but instead goes crazy and is locked up in an asylum. They try mixing it with some water and then having another child drink it. This child dies, and they put the remains of their organs into a jar for study. The organization then begins to mass-produce the poison and dump it into the ocean, rivers - pretty much into any water. All of the creatures in the water die, and get melted by the poison, making the water bloody. People all over the world turn on their faucets, bathtubs, and showers, only to discover that the water isn't fit for use. Outdated part of theory: Many years pass. Now everyone believes that water is poisonous by itself. They don't think there's poison in it - just that water is deadly. The son gets curious, but the mother says no. The organization reaches out to the father, since he's such a big influence. They pay him to drink the water, and he dies, cementing the belief that water is toxic. The son dies as well, when he tries to wash his hands with water (like, are you dumb, kid? water's poisonous now). Updated part of theory: My suspicion now is that water is (as in outdated) considered poisonous. However, the government says that they know how to make it safe, but it costs a lot of money per glass. However the government lied and basically killed him (maybe because he was getting too curious). One line that supports this is "You poisoned me just for - another dollar in your pocket", signaling that maybe it is the politician singing from after death? I don't know, but this one line, and the politician dying... Things to note: 1. The politician might not be dead. He looks pretty dead to me but he could have just gone comatose. 2. “I AM THE PEOPLE I AM THE STORM I AM THE RIOT I AM THE SWARM” is an interesting line. Hive mind lore? 3. “When the people aint happy, and the river has run dry.” This could be the government took all the water, or dammed it up. The people didnt have water to do what they wanted with, so the poison was the governments solution. 4. The singer seems affected personally. Many of the lines seem like they’re talking to someone who hurt them. I find this very interesting. 5. The politician after drinking the water licks his lips, and is dizzy as though he is very thirsty. This is something that doesnt make sense to me… (im not doing credits or checking accuracy, in writing this at 3am and im tired ok?) Things we don't know 1: We know this one now, its kinda obvious so idk why i didn't see it before. But Eggy115 says that the organization is RXX, and uh... XD I'm an idiot. 2: What is the motive? Perhaps so they can sell something as an alternative to water (Eggy115 says the milkman shows a motive involving the dairy industry, indeed it does)? Or they can sell non-deadly water for a very expensive price (which supports updated last paragraph of theory)? 3: Why is everyone happy and smiling? Forced by government? 4: What happened to the insane child? 5: How far is this in the future? It doesnt seem too far, as its a normal neigborhood and there is no new technology. Maybe a decade or so. 6: Why does the government not block all taps, and instead allow people to just use water whenever? Perhaps it is because then people can see the deadly effects of water for themselves and not just lose faith eventually. 7. What is the purpose of the red scenes? Is it from the perspective of the children or is it just to add intensity? Edit: Wow i didn't expect this to blow up thanks for the support (btw the base for this theory is some comment i can't find anymore that was noting the probability that the government poisoned the water, I just watched in slow-mo to find out more.)

"I won't accept the silence, beg me for forgiveness" ~Best line in the song.
