I Bought TikTok's most NOSTALGIC products to test! Some lived up to the expectation, so were kind of a disaster tbh lol

Did you have any of these products back in the day?? If so which ones?! 🥰
  • @Nilli_Rilli
Raise your hand if you love hope trying out TikTok products 🙋‍♀️

For your lava lamp, you need to use an incandescent lightbulb because it heats up when turned on. Fluorescent and LEDs don't. Love your videos ☺
  • I remember every single time we would go to the store. There would be a little box of those towels and my dad would let me pick out one each time and I would shower with them. Good times man.

Never knew jelly shoes changed colours. Big were the flats in the late 80's/early 90's. So wanted them, but they cracked. Have clear, sparkly hot pink & neon yellow sandals made out of better plastic (silicone?) now. Zero blisters.

For the lava lamp I think you need an incandescent light bulb, it's the ones almost everyone had in the 2000's, the bulb used used to get really hot. Nowadays most light bulbs don't produce as much heat but have a longer lifespawn.
  • For the lava lamp if you’re using an energy efficient or LED bulb they’re probably not getting hot enough. Those old incandescents get hot quick which made them good for lamps like this.

Hey hope! I love your videos so much! ❤❤❤ but did you know, since I live in Australia we have oodies! It’s exactly like a snuggie. I’m actually wearing one right now as writing this! Nearly all my friends have one! I love your vids sooo much, you put so much effort in each one so thank you! I just wanted to tell you that cause it’s weird how trends come and go, even tho they don’t heat up. Thanks hope!❤❤❤❤
  • It's so wild that early 2000s merchandise is now vintage!!! Life happens way too fast! My favorite thing growing up was lite-brite!! I also always wanted heelies (the sneakers with wheels?) but I would've 100% broken some bones with those🤣
  • @Melygames
I have something very similar that's close to the vintage iPod! I have the vintage MP3 player. Sometimes when I'm listening to music it glitches and goes "I'll never smile again-nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn" so basically it just glitches and keeps playing the same note on till I turn it off. It's kind of creepy but it's good!😊

Omg 😱 magic pajamas perfect for tossing in your purse in case you accidentally need pjs in a pinch ( happens more than you would think lol) also great for travel

So many 2000s products I didn’t know existed. But, what really made me feel old is Hope saying she doesn’t know how to put a landline phone together. I still remember rotary phones and party lines. 😀😀😀
  • Oodie feels like an updated more functional snuggie to me. Also those popcorn shirts are apparently coming back and I’m convinced they just sat in a warehouse for a couple decades since they take up almost no space and are just pulling them out to resell now 😂
  • @Miamiamii
5:41 they still have those mini towels in Dollar tree. I used to have them all the time when I was a baby.
  • @tomadumas2939
I had the jelly shoes, towels and lava lamp and the Rock Angels Bratz, specifically the one you got the mini of! Memories unlocked!!! I remember the floam but i never played with it, i do remember silly putty though!
  • I’m a 2000’s baby and I got so much nostalgia from this video!! Yes, the 2000’s, an era of “magic” things that simply grew in water… remember the little animals you could hatch in water?
  • Hope! Thank you for the nostalgia trip!! I had a lava lamp in the 90's. You need to use a standard incandescent light bulb for them to work optimally, though. Led light bulbs don't produce nearly enough heat to work well. Incandescent bulbs, however, do get hot enough to melt the wax at the bottom.
  • @catssss-se4te
I had the jelly shoes in first grade and wore them for like a week before telling my parents how awful the blisters were. I couldn't walk lol
  • I had the Bratz landline phone and I'm pretty sure it is still somewhere at my parents' place! We used it for a suuuper long time until it started failing, and my mother still mentions it from time to time, it was iconic!
