"I've got the finest food and drink in all if Skyrim, Traveler"

I like how people are just roleplaying in the comments.
  • One of my favorite things about the Elder Scroll games was the fact that you could go in a place like this and just relax from all the bloodshed outside. That you didn't have to fight all of the time.
  • Tugs bartender's shirt excuse me, who's that man over there? Bartender: a ranger from the north, around here... they call him Strider.
  • hears a lady coughing ah, tis the plague Edit: apologies for the curse everyone. 2019 was a simpler time

What a perfect way to be alone and yet feel surrounded by others. This one is an introvert's dream! I shall play this on the big screen while I write. It's very inspiring! Thank You!

I'm old and wizened. I have been trodding these roads most of my life, selling trinkets to those better off than myself. My feet ache beneath these broken boots and the rags I've wrapped them in. But, ah, it's good to warm these bones near the fire. A mug of warmed spiced ale in my torn gloves. I sigh, and relax deep against the wall behind me.

I can't praise this excellent production enough. You're doing a real service here. Many of us are stressed and anxious. This type of harmless immersive escapism is wonderful treatment.
  • I like this version a lot more than other "medieval tavern" or "medieval inn" soundscapes I've heard. This one feels like I'm not down among the crowd but maybe upstairs, so I can hear everything but I don't have to be a part of it if I don't want to. It's so calming to imagine myself in that kind of arrangement.

I've been listening to this to put me to sleep and I've got a great scenario that I love to imagine. "I've come to this tavern/inn to rest from my travels and the chilly spring rain. The entire main room smells of pine, leather, fire smoke and freshly baked bread. It's warm and comforting the moment you walk through the door. My room is just beside the staircase so the muffled chatter and the clinking of glasses still filters up to my ears. Someone brings me up a beef stew with potatoes and half a loaf of that same bread I could smell baking downstairs; it's heavy and hearty and fills my stomach and warms my core. The fire lit in my room begins to lull me to sleep, the bed creaking and the blankets are hefty wool and a little bit scratchy. " Works every time. Zzzzzz
  • I'm a law student and this is absolutely perfect to study to. It drowns out the noise of my house and makes me feel like I'm tucked back in a cozy corner, just reading the day away

There are so many terrible "ambient" videos on YouTube... and this is NOT one of them! This couldn't be more perfect, especially for D&D. Fantastic! Thank you!

Dude, I suffer from insomnia like you wouldn't believe. You're helping a lot of people. Thanks for making these.
  • I wish there was a place like this that people could visit for a while. A kind of immersive experience where you feel like you're living in the past. It'd make a fortune and would make people feel more human somehow.

All I want in life is to live in a village, cutting wood at the mill every day and exchanging legends and myths with my kin every night. Is that too much to ask?
  • Ahh what a nice evening here in 1350's England. Long live his highness King Edward III. Had a nice day here in the village, went to the blacksmiths to get my claymore repaired, then I stopped off at the bakers for a loaf of bread. Enjoyed the jousting tournament this afternoon, my favorite knight almost won today, but didn't quite win against Sir Joustalot. Still there's always the next tournament. Well now I'm having a nice quiet evening at the village tavern and having a nice ale in front of the fire. It's a pleasant rainy evening, and tomorrow I'm going hunting with the lads!
  • Now this is perfect! Turn off all lights but one to read by, open a beer and enjoy a night of reading Viking myths. Thanks for the mental vacation!
  • @Trenchcoat3
After all these years this is still one of my top 5 favorites.
  • Mmm cozy. A nice secluded table at the back of the tavern, late at night so one can relax as a spectre in the back of the room. A good meal, good drink and a gentle fireplace. So good for relaxing after a hard day.
  • I'd recommend playing this on a loop with "A Winter's Tale (Skyrim Tavern Edit)" for an even better experience.
