The main reason most people build with lots of color is that they don’t have the correct pieces to make a build uniform.
  • @OscarGreenworth
My problem with this is that I don’t have enough pieces.

Like others have commented, it's not always a matter of choice to build houses without multiple colors 😅 Like when I was kid and I had my Lego collection somewhat decent (for that time and for poor folks) late 80's, I used all kinds of bricks to build houses, or big boats. Like those long techinc pieces with holes in them, because they filled up walls nicely. But yeah, that meant big boats had plenty of holes in them as well as being every possible color involved 😆 But for a kid it didn't matter, since imagination was enough to make each creation coherent and solid unit for all those play hours 👍

Can You show please "ways to use "car Windows" in structures"? I really need it
  • Thx for the ideas I just got my Legos in my main room and now after seeing how you can do Lego builds I want to redo one I made. I take sets and redo the inside and outside but keep the base there. I do that because I don’t have that many bricks of normal colors to build a new place.

1:09 “Don’t use too many colors” Me who’s too poor to buy many of the same color brick: No thanks I’m fine.
  • 5:25 imagine if your house was so crowded you couldn't even walk around. Empty space is good
  • @13productions58
Then the problem comes Not everyone ( like me ) has lots of bricks . . . Which is sad

If you look at the Bauhaus style they only have a very few "colors", like white, brown, black...and I adore that color scale. I plan to make some Bauhaus villas with white (cheramics), grey (concrete) and transparents for windows, it's such a great style and as you said in a video, most of us would like to live in such a house. Thanks for the inspiration!

I think number 10 resonates with me the most, since I always worry if my builds aren't as good as anyone else's. I often see detail, purpose and technique in the builds I see from others, whereas the builds I make are very chaotic and sometimes akin to aesthetics from earlier sets.

  • One lego designer has told me: "in lego designs there's never mistakes just taste"
  • You don't need to say "these are my personal opinions" and "I don't mean to make you feel bad." You are instructing people and using your skills and knowledge/experience to help them improve. It's why they clicked your video - to from one skillset to an increased skillset. Good stuff!
  • @kstanni87
You make valid points but in many cases, people don't have access to many smooth tiles or particular ammount of pieces in the same color for coherent big builds.
  • My biggest pet peeve is seeing a build with yellow figures and flesh coloured figures or even worse yellow figures with flesh hands and Visa versa

6:50 thats true, but when 80% my pices are red or black, and 60% are 2x2 bricks i cant do much. im honestly a pretty creative person, but i cant do more than a "gun"/ L or a car. lego is expensive (at least on my country) and since im young, i dont have money to buy lego. i love lego, and i want to play or build with it, but when you are this limited, its quite sad
  • the last one actually helped me a lot, thank oyu, now i feel really happy and motivated, i didnt know you were so good at that
