Arwen: Do you remember when we first met? Aragorn: I thought I had wandered into a dream. Arwen: Long years have passed. You did not have the cares you carry now. Do you remember what I told you? Aragorn: You said you'd bind yourself to me, forsaking the immortal life of your people. Arwen: And to that I hold. I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone. [hands him her pendant] Arwen: I choose a mortal life. Aragorn: You cannot give me this. Arwen…
  • “I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone.“ This has to be the most amazing phrase in cinema history.
  • I can't express how happy I am to tell the world, I have finally found a love like arwen and aragorn! She truly is my Tinúviel!

“If you trust nothing else.. trust this. Trust us.” -Arwen Undómiel

"Then Aragorn was abashed, for he saw the elven-light in her eyes and the wisdom of many days; yet from that hour he loved Arwen Undómiel daughter of Elrond." Thanks again for such a lovely listening experience!
  • Aragron suffered like 80 plus years for his love. That's what makes their romance so great, his willingness to toil and suffering and being the hero for her. All of it is for her.

"I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all ages of this world alone... I choose a mortal life." "It is mine to give to whom I will. Like my heart."

I made a digital piece of this scene for my gf for our one year anniversary. I always saw our dynamic similar to Aragorn and Arwen, the fair and mystical daughter of a lord and the rugged adventurer destined for more. I am planning on proposing to her soon. I cant wait to live my lifetime with her.
  • I just bought my wife a Arwen Evenstar necklace for Christmas. So ironic that this is coming out right before Christmas. Am I inspiring you Ambient Worlds?! Or is it fate?!

One of the very best film romances of all time. And the LOTR aren't even classed as romances ! What Tolkien and Jackson did is truly astonishing
  • If I can’t find a love like Aragorn x Arwen, then I don’t want it.

Urgent need to read LOTR books again and rewatch the movie once a time, under the blanket. Who else?

"You cannot give this to me." "It is mine to give to whom I will. Like my heart." Arwen displays powerful agency in this scene. Because of her choice, her sacrifice, you could argue the King returned to Gondor.
  • When I fell lonely, sad and that I will never be able to find love, I listen to this music for it gives me hope, hope that there is someone out there, and that the best thing I can do is be true to myself, and focus on the beauties of life, like this song.

I have a lotr quote for this ambience. It isnt from the actual story (cause its from appendix a) but I think it really tells you about the relationship between Aragorn and Arwen: “And Arwen said: ‘Dark is the Shadow and yet my heart rejoices; for you, Estel, shall be among the great whose valour will destroy it.’ But Aragorn answered: ‘Alas! I cannot foresee it, and how it may come to pass is hidden from me. Yet with your hope i will hope. And the Shadow I utterly reject. But neither, lady, is the Twilight for me; for i am a mortal, if you will cleave to me, Evenstar, then the Twilight you must also renounce.’ And she stood then as still as a white tree, looking into the West and at last she said: ‘I will cleave to you, Dúnadan, and turn from the Twilight. Yet there lies the land of my people and the long home of my kin.’”

Thingol and Melian, Beren and Luthien, Aragorn and Arwen. Fun Fact the same Family.

‘But Arwen went forth from the House, and the light of her eyes was quenched, and it seemed to her people that she had become cold and grey as nightfall in winter that comes without a star. Then she said farewell to Eldarion, and to her daughters, and to all whom she had loved; and she went out from the city of Minas Tirith and passed away to the land of Lo´rien, and dwelt there alone under the fading trees until winter came. Galadriel had passed away and Celeborn also was gone, and the land was silent. ‘There at last when the mallorn-leaves were falling, but spring had not yet come, she laid herself to rest upon Cerin Amroth; and there is her green grave, until the world is changed, and all the days of her life are utterly forgotten by men that come after, and elanor and niphredil bloom no more east of the Sea. ‘Here ends this tale, as it has come to us from the South; and with the passing of Evenstar no more is said in this book of the days of old.’

The Lord of the Rings music will be used at my future wedding, Christenings of children and funeral. Words cannot describe the beauty.
