Where was Gondor when I fell asleep to this at work?
  • "Have you ever seen it, Aragorn? The White City? Its banners caught high in the morning breeze, the Tower of the Guard sticking like a silver needle in the sky, the clear ringing of silver trumpets. And one day, our paths will lead us there. And the guards shall take up the call, 'The Lords of Gondor have returned'!" I swear, Minas Tirith is my favourite mythical city of all. Hobbiton has a good grasp of what daily life is about. Edoras is beautiful for horse-lovers (as I am also). But Minas Tirith carries something of great hope for mankind. Something that calls out the warrior inside of me, a willingness to fight for a good King. Anyone familiar with that?

Eowyn: The city has fallen silent. There is no warmth left in the sun. It grows so cold. Faramir: It is just the damp of the first spring rain. I do not believe this darkness will endure.

Alright, but when are we getting a Mordor ambient mix? Because sometimes you’re in the mood to rule the Free Peoples of Middle Earth, ya know?

"I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend". (c)

"One day, our paths will lead us there and the tower guard will take up the call: The Lords of Gondor have returned."

Arise, arise, Riders of Théoden! Fell deeds awake: fire and slaughter! Spear shall be shaken, shield be splintered, a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises! Ride now, ride now! Ride to Gondor!

  • -What are we holding to Sam? -That there's still some good in this world, Mr Frodo. And it's worth fighting for!
  • Where was Gondor when I tried to study with this music, and found it too epic?! Where was Gondor when I fell asleep after listening this on repeat for 18 hours straight?!
  • @MeshsCorner
Where was Gonder when I couldn't find motivation to work on my masters assignment?
  • @jmy42
I literally read that line of the book this morning. so tough to go about your day when you're reading these books and all you want to do is return to Gondor and Ithilien and Eriador....

i love how green Pelennor fields are. The days of peace have come to Gondor.
  • Gondor represents the remnant of the last hope of humanity against the Shadow of Melkor. The children and legacy of once proud Numenor, their continued promise to fight for the good of all Free Peoples.

"This is the city of the men of Númenor. I will gladly give my life to defend her beauty, her memory, her wisdom".

I love listening to this while reading the comments.

I love how the Hobbiton theme is interwoven through Gondor's, and vice versa. It shows just how much the fate of those two realms are tied together; the destiny of lordly warriors and kindly halflings joined in one song! :)
