  • If someone really started the fire intentionally thats an act of terrorism.
  • I live in Lakeview, Oregon, that little corner of Oregon that all that smoke is going into. While I am complaining about the smoke because it causes my daughter and I a hard time to breathe. I use to live in Chico. Started my broadcast career at KZFR, and lived at the Three lakes and so the area is special to me. My heart goes out to everyone that is impacted by this fire. Bidwell is a beautiful place. I miss the area. I miss the old train store in town, "The Whistle Stop" I use to shop there as a kid in the 80's. I am praying for Chico and the surrounding areas. and thank you to all the news coverage from CBS13. WE get more from you many times then we do our regional station. Especially the weather. You often cover Alturas and that area of Goose lake better then the Medford Station's. Thank you.
  • I've been praying G-d takes the rain from Oklahoma and move it to California. Not that we don't also need the rain, but they need it more.
  • At 178k acres the Park fire is the 20th largest fire in California since 1932. I'm imagining that we're on track for it to be one of the top 10 largest fires unless they can wrangle some containment on it over the next week, maybe even top 5 largest fires.
  • Drove to Redding from Klamath Falls and I can see it from Redding. That fire is massive, this one will be hard to stop.
  • My accolades and admiration to US Forrest Service, for their hard work and not enough appreciate. ❤
  • How long has Hunter been in Sacramento? Last time I saw her she was at KUSI in San Diego.

Your reporter needs to get her facts straight. Yes, thus fire is now larger than the Camp Fire, at this time over 239, 000 acres. But, the Camp Fire destroyed over 16,000 stryctures, 14,000+ were homes. Mine was one of them, and 85 people perished. Those homes, and lives, were in the first 7 hrs. of the fire. No stopping this one you just pray you get some rain in here
  • I think the left (west) and right (east) flanks of the fire are contained. The west flank being the one near Chico and right flank being the one near Paradise. I’d say about 50 percent of the fire is contained except for the top (north) head of the fire and NE east corner of the fire. Been monitoring it since it began and haven’t noticed growth west side (Chico) or east side (paradise) so this means they have those two sides under control. 😊 Good job to all first responders!!
