Several people were killed, including children, in a rocket attack on a soccer field in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights Saturday. Israel has blamed the Iranian-backed militant group Hezbollah, who have denied responsibility. It marks the deadliest attack on Israeli civilians since Oct. 7. Debora Patta reports from Tel Aviv.

A school of women & children in gaza doesn't make the headlines 😢

It was an Israeli misfire, not Hezbollah The victims were Arab Druze so not a great escalation for Israel. Different if the kids were Jews.

The people who live in the occupied Golan Heights are Syrian Druze and not Israeli Jews. Call me cynical if you want, but it would seem somewhat fortunate for the Israelis that they now seek to have grounds for retaliation without the loss of any Israeli citizens. Syrian Druze in the occupied Golan Heights were offered Israeli citizenship when the Golan Heights was annexed from Syria in 1981, but only a minority accepted. Most have retained an allegiance to Syria. Druze in the Golan can still study and work in Israel, though only those with citizenship can vote and are required to serve in the army.

Please put a subject correctly. Israel air strikes killed 12 innocent children. That even don’t know why they are being killed.
  • @ritahoxie1236
How sad! Why target the children of either side? Just sad, very sad!

Several killed? 11 children killed innocently playing football!!
  • What Israel puts out, Israel gets back. One would think they'd know what "an eye for an eye" means by now. Doesn't matter whether they "started it" or not. The Law of Attraction is a "law" of life that works with every one. I firmly believe that the only reason the US hasn't been attacked so far, in spite of our own military exploits, is because there are so many more of us who believe in peaceful living—in living and letting others live in peace. Our sheer numbers overwhelm the negative impact of the military which, of course, does get back what it puts out—only overseas, not here.
  • Nah that’s that ish that starts beef you can’t squash. Talking it out been over with awhile ago but this…

It is strange how these websites and news play these videos more than what is going on in Palestine. One sided news and website
  • Maybe this could have been avoided is Israel wasnt illegally occupying Syrian land. Or, at least it wouldn't have happened where it did. Not that I believe anything that the little hat people say.

How many Palestinian children you have killed? This is nothing
  • @cmcull987
What group or individuals have taken responsibility?
