If my dad was the greatest basketball player of all time, I would play hockey. No way ima deal with those expectations.

I thought this said "That one time Michael Jordan saw kids get touched by a future nba player" and thought this was a Karl Malone video

Was there. It was epic. Gordon was probably oblivious to the fact he was driving a stake through MJ's soul. He's honestly such a nice guy. He's the type to wet you up for 40 all while telling you nice shot/good play/nice defense the whole time and truly mean it.

I was a freshman in high school when Eric was a senior. I was there when Eric Gordan played Greg Oden at Hinkle Fieldhouse, the greatest basketball game I do believe I will have the honor of witnessing. Greg Oden was number one in the country his Sophmore, Junior and Senior year, truly an unbelievable level of basketball coming out of Indy back then.

Jordan took that personally... Legend has it he destroys Eric Gordan as a CPU on 2K in his basement every Thursday

Honestly EG would have been one of the best players of his era up there with James and Durant if he didn’t deal with so many serious injuries. He’s been a shell of himself after his injuries, but still manages a solid career

Imagine what that ride home would have looked like for Jordan and his sons
  • Michael on his kids after the game: "Ya'll both wearing Jordan fusions from now on."
  • The fact that Eric Gordon was wearing number 23 makes it even better!
  • @taharqa332
Jordan undoubtedly told his boys: "Y'all aint shit!"
  • @WeloTwelve
Michael Jordan while watching his son get torched: And I took that personally

This video is amazing work. Connecting all of this old footage and stats seem like navigating a web of information. Kudos for putting together this video.

someone needs to make an animation of Michael subbing in for this game 😭
  • it's honestly so tough to live under the shadows of MJ if he's your father. Pretty tough to live up to even half the expectation
  • What's odd is Jimmy Butler looks more like Michael Jordan than either of his kids.
  • @kingmeeks1337
Gordon: Yeah it was cool that he was watching me, but I cared more about my team. MJ: And yes, I took that personally
  • @IndianaVic
I was at this game. Eric put a show on and blew the roof off the gym. Watching MJ walk into your HS arena was epic but watching Eric blow the Jordan bros out on National TV was even better. Hands down the best memory I have from my time at North Central High School.

I recently stumbled upon your channel and it's A+. Keep it up!

Beast performance by Gordon, but I can't help but feel for Jordan's kids. Not only do they have to live in their father's shadow on a daily basis, but they were KIDS getting scorched by ESPN commentators on what was then one of the most watched channels, and are still having videos made about how they got beat on 14 years later.
