Lake Simcoe Ice Report January 29, 2021

Today off Big Bay Point we got our first ice measurement of the year, unfortunately, the ice was thin and it will not be thick enough to fish on this weekend. At the spots tested close to shoar we had less than 4" of ice with o 3-inch layer of snow/slush insulating it. Be safe

Keep going with your videos. It is not easy to get subscribers, but this year so many people are going to be glued to the computer that let's hope it's going to be easier. We were not very active in the past few years, it is time to pick up the space. Tight lines.

Thanks For The Update! Be Safe Out There!
  • Thanxsomuch for the report, and well said that it ain't safe to icefish in most areas of Simcoe. I've been reporting Kempenfelt bay Downtown area and it's not good yet. Gotta give it more time...🥶🎣🇨🇦

That looks a little scary. Too thin for my liking. It’s the same way up at the north end in spots. I checked that out yesterday Thanks for the report. 😎👍🏻

Does not look good. Further you go out the thinner it gets I bet. Hopefully 1 more week it will help.
