About The Story of God with Morgan Freeman:
Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman explores the meaning of life, God, and many big questions in between in an effort to understand how religion has evolved and shaped society. A different divine subject is covered in each hourlong episode, titles of which include "Creation," "The Devil Inside," "Afterlife," "Apocalypse," and "Who Is God?" To explore these topics, host and narrator Freeman visits nearly 20 cities in seven countries to see some of the world's greatest religious sites, among them Jerusalem's Wailing Wall, India's Bodhi Tree, Mayan temples in Guatemala, and the pyramids of Egypt, and he immerses himself in religious experiences and rituals. "In some places I found answers, and others led to more questions. The constant through it all is that we're all looking to be part of something bigger than us. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that we certainly are," Freeman says.

  • Morgan is absolutely the best story teller available. The Master
  • @hearthatbird
“God doesn't make the world this way. We do.“
  • One of the precious gift that God gave us is the FREEWILL, to be able to choose good or bad
  • @liaperth
The old saying, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink." A saying I find myself repeating every so often is, "You can't help someone who is not ready to help themselves." 😔❤
  • I often wonder how can Morgan Freeman speak so eloquently. I can listen to him all day.🙂
  • @ovehlu
Morgan Freeman is genuinely the perfect storyteller. No judgement, and interested in understanding. Thank you!

Evil exist when good men do nothing.
  • Morgan Freeman is one of my favorite actors and it makes me so happy that he has such a wonderful heart and soul like the characters he plays in his movie. Just his voice brings me a feeling of peace. Wonderful human being !
  • I'm a recovering addict this is my first time watching this seems like a pretty good show I thank God every day for being sober and I pray that the lost ones will eventually find God 🙏🙏🙏🙏
  • Cruelty is never far from showing up in human nature, we all have those moments we don't react on, but some are actually cruel beings, seemingly enjoying the pain of others, even subtlety.
  • I'm a big fan of Morgan Freeman. This is a great video. I've found that everyone is capable of anything. Given the right circumstances. God gave us free will. I hope many more people see this. Thank you.
  • A really wonderful, insightful, informative documentary. Thank you Morgan, it was a pleasure to go on this journey with you. I think one thing that could have been explored a bit more is the impact of childhood trauma on an individuals actions. Most people who commit 'evil' have had trauma of some form in their childhood. This trauma affects the brains development. Maybe if we made; the nurturing of children, the protection of care givers, mothers and fathers, and the support of family, more of a priority, a serious priority, then we would see less damaged people and a healthier society for everyone. Teach people how to lovingly care for children and themselves.
  • I wish Morgan Freeman was my grandpa. It would be so amazing if I could be in the same room with him listening to his stories. Thank You Mr. Freeman for being our storyteller.
  • For me evil and good is within us all. The only difference is how we control our emotions and how we respond to it in every situation that we are in.
  • His little experiment doesn't negate the fact that Jesus really was born on Earth lived and died and rose again
  • I think every human being has a way to overcome evil, but there is not just one way to do that. Each one of us has to find his or her own way; persevering and not giving up is the real challenge.
  • Morgan’s reaction when he saw Minahs tomb is priceless He appreciated it so much for what it is He is so genuine
  • I was a child when segregation was legal and felt the conflicts of the teachings of Christ with racism. Fortunately the church I went to was open to everyone in my small conservative town. Seeing the change in liberal Republicans of the 1950s and evangelical churches becoming money making enterprises is the personification of evil to me today. Greed and many intelligent people hardened against helping others in need has created chaos in our culture.
  • I really like it when he says that Zoroastrianism believes that good & evil emerge essentially from us all. & because of evil being inherited, we cannot blame others for doing evil, because it is their inheritance & environment that helped them do evil. But still, don't we all have a choice, even if a limited one?!
  • Morgan Freeman is such an extraordinary person..I have to say, I adore his example of humanity..his words transport me ..his genuiness..his love for the content that is offered to us..I feel like I'm gushing, but when I see something beautiful, I can't help it
