Since the early invaders entered India, Kalinga ( now known as Odisha) was amongst the very few states which were less affected and influenced. Presently you can witness the centuries-old culture and livelihood in this part of India. This represents how brave and powerful the Kalinga was in those days.

Vardhana Dynasty (590-647 AD) Chalukya Dynasty (550-750 AD) Pallava Dynasty (550-850 AD) Rashtrakuta Dynasty (753-973 AD) Chola Dynasty (850-1279 AD) Hoysala Dynasty (950-1343 AD) Vijayanagara Empire (1336-1646 AD) you missed a few dynasties and history as the narrative of your Indian history focuses on Delhi's point of view but India on the other hand has a lot more great dynasties with cultural significance which you miss with Delhi's point of view ...

While this was a concise history, it seems the focus of this video was not India, but rather North India. South India was pretty much ignored.
  • I have been meaning to get deeper into the history. This was an easy to walkthrough to get started. Thank you for that!
