On planet Vegeta, a young Saiyan was deemed a threat to the royal family and was to be banished by King Vegeta to Planet Vampa - a desolate world that would surely result in the child’s demise. However, the child’s father - Paragus - was quick to find out about his son’s exile which allowed him to reroute the ship to Planet Earth before it left.
A much safer world that Broly could live on without fear of death. The same could not be said for Paragus though, his actions were taken as acts of treachery and he was executed for his crime. King Vegeta asks if there’s any way to track the ship, and his technicians say that the ship seems to be headed for a worthless planet called Earth - King Vegeta is visibly angry, but there’s no point to dwell on it. With Broly off world, he wouldn’t be a threat to the royal family.
Eventually Broly lands in the forests of Mount Paozu where an old hermit named Son Gohan finds him and takes him in as his own. The landing was rough and caused Broly to hit his head - he remembers nothing of the Saiyans nor is he as aggressive as he would be otherwise.

I feel like Broly wouldn't be more likely to kill someone. He's been shown, in Super anyway, to actually be VERY pure of heart, to the point that Stardust Breaker didn't really affect him, outside of some damage from the actually explosion, since there wasn't any evil to be expunged.

I watched the original so this should be really exciting. It's kinda like Final Fantasy 7 and Remake the differences at least.

SPOILERS INBOUND I absolutely love this story, and I really liked the subversions you did with Broly not turning Super Saiyan against Frieza which really surprised me and threw me for a loop. And while Frieza looked untouchable seeing Trunks come in and one shot him made me happy as a trunks fan and also glad to see everything be alright. Removing Earth's Dragon Balls from the story along with Future Trunks staying in the present for a justified reason is also pretty unique. This is a supreme improvement of the original in every way.

Also if Broly Black did happen, he would automatically kill everyone. Since it's the soul of a god giving him his God Ki, the Ki that would be bursting out would bloom from within. If he could access super saiyan of any form its over for them.

It's been a great What If! Great story telling, narration and some clever ideas in the mix, especially with the characters, changing the cast and give some characters more time to shine, being my favourite part for me. Keep up the good work man!

3:15 Despite the timing being more in line with Goten's birth I think that "Goku" would still name his name his son Gohan.

I feel like Broly would be pretty OP no matter what, despite the nerfs. His power level would honestly be really cracked either way, because he has an adaptive power level. He sort of negates power scaling in a way, and multipliers with his rage boosts. Its how his Ikari Form could match Super Saiyan God. Its how he was so strong in his base form. Any time he got angry, it'd honestly be game over. But still.. Either way, this works well for story telling! You probably should've used another large nerf though. Something that'd make more sense. Let's be real, DBS power scaling is on some meth.

Broly is just going to clap everybody during the years of Kid Goku in dragon ball, because everybody is the power level of 100 - 1,000 probably, and Broly was born with a whopping 10,000 power level. So, it's pretty obvious Broly just destroys all the "Kid Goku" villains until Saiyan and Frieza saga where it might make things more difficult. BY THE WAY THIS IS BEFORE THE VIDEO
