The Smoke Bomb in Assassin's Creed Origins is a contextual item that is far more powerful than some players give it credit for. This video is for them, and for everyone else who wishes they could do more with it. You can. ;] The Skill: - Drop Smoke by pressing Triangle/Y/R immediately after a Dodge or Melee Attack. - You can do this any time. - LV2 // Damage Passive allows Smoke to Harm enemies and ground them. Stealth: - Spam Smoke to safely cross open space. - Use it as a panic button when you see Detection and you're not feeling safe enough to cover away in time. - Drop it off edges, to cloud the area you'll attack into. - - With Damage, you can use this as extra Damage to kill enemies, especially clustered groups when you're above them. - Make aiming with a Bow or Tool safe, by clouding your current cover with Smoke, then aiming out. Combat: - LV1 Smoke lets you stop enemies from running and attacking. They may still stumble around, but you can get free damage on them, or begin Sleeping them for Assassinations. - LV2 Smoke lets you Damage everyone around you, and throw them to the ground. From here you can get free damage on them, or begin Sleeping them for Assassinations. LV2 Smoke can be spammed repeatedly to efficiently harvest a large group of enemies. - Smoke can be used to Escape Conflict.

It somehow doesn't surprise me that AC players don't understand that you don't need to be in combat to do something. You are pearls before swine, Leo. Also your voice sounds like you've been doing this for years, lovely editing, pacing and scripting.

Wowie, there's much improvement to be seen in this video - Better structure than most, you clearly thought abou tit - Footage is not only relevant, but referenced and aids the commentary - Thumbnail, needn't say more - Nice editing/flashyness/text pop-ups I approve.

Also just to say this sleep and poison darts work exactly like the darts in ACS to were if you though them at a fire pit it does an AOE move becoming the size of the average smoke bomb

Nice! I did the roofs edge smoke on accident... tried it again... soooo cool
  • Some great tips in here. I've never used the smoke bomb from above option. I'll jump from above, take out a guard or 2, then drop the smoke if there are more around me. I learn so much from these Academy videos. Thanks for doing them.
  • god man you help me so much plus your voice isnt incredibly annoying like most people, probably the most soothing voice i heard and not headache inducing at all
  • I'm playing thru Origins again years after my first playthrough and never realized these things shown in the video. Thank you so much.

I’ve recently gotten into the Assassin Creed series just a couple months ago and have played most of the AC games and am now into Origins. It’s been a blast playing these games and your videos have been a huge help in my playthroughs such as Unity, and now Origins. Thanks a lot for these videos man!🙏🙏

Lol came back into the game recently to finish the hidden ones dlc and 100% the game. I had forgotten most things including the existence of the smoke bomb, but one time I dropped it accidentally which shocked me so I came here to see how to use it at all. However the extra tips definitely made me happy. This man is the go-to for ac related stuff. Cheers.
  • @nicolesong6199
great video. even without playing ac: o this is still entertaining. maybe because it reaffirms what we know
  • @TrevisoStealth
Holy shit, that quadruple kill at 4:02. You might have give me a reason to work on a video again.
  • @mookyyzed2216
I'm just glad it's still here in some form. Yeah, it's not as good as Unity, but it just means you have to be more creative with it. This was an awesome video. Thanks for this. Can't wait to skill up to aquire it.
  • @dustinakadustin
I forgot how to use the smoke bomb so I've been rushing people with the sleep darts. So satisfying. They can knock out anyone regardless of detection, it's just harder when they are running at you.
  • @Mr-xw8vc
Damn I quite literally never used smoke in origins and I don't think I'll play it again but after his I might this is really impressive

If an enemy sees you (combat begin), you can throw a smoke bomb near him and run in the opposite direction using the cloud to break the line of sight. If done correctly the enemy will exit immidiatly "combat mode" and you will be able to assasinate him. this strategy is quite usefull to kill phylakes or other enemies whit a lot of health
