This video will help you understand which foods lead to high blood pressure, and which ones lower your blood pressure.

Lowering your blood pressure through diet is not so much about what you add to your diet, but what you removed from your diet. You can do this with the proper knowledge.

I quit all these things last October. I’ve lost 100 lbs, 20 beyond my goal. BP is 116/69 this morning. Feel invincible👍 THANK YOU DR. BERRY!!

I had a flight surgeon once told me that if I just eliminated five items from my diet, my weight would go down, My overall health would improve. I tried it and he was right. What he advocated was basically a carnivore diet, and this was 30 years ago. The five items are; wheat, sugar, rice, potatoes, and corn, and the things made with these products like bread and pasta You see how that dovetails into the carnivore diet. I followed his advice as well as I could under my life circumstances, and in a year I lost 75 lbs. I believe if I had been more rigorous I could have accomplished that goal a lot faster.

I been 80% carnivore just over two weeks and got dizzy. Turns out it was from being on two blood pressure meds - so already I am off one medication in just over two weeks. I am so excited for my future 🦋
  • What works for me: 1) Develop a taste and desire for whole, unprocessed foods and 2) Keep the fridge, dishes, cookware and kitchen clean and organized - this produces an environment conducive to cooking meals at home.
  • My high bp went away after ketoing for 4 months. I'm always amazed at how resilient my body is, even at almost 47. It's never too late!!!
  • You've just eliminated my entire diet. I'll have to start eating ice cubes.
  • Watching this video again because it’s a great video. My type 2 diabetes and hypertension is now a thing in my past. I am also 90% carnivore and gone off metformin. Thank you Dr. Ken !!!

Thank you for continuing to learn post medical school! We need more doctors like you in this world.

I did not eliminate anything but I just simply cut down on the amounts that I eat. I reversed my prediabetes in 4 months just by simply cutting down a lot on sugar and white bread and pasta. As I done that I noticed my cholesterol and blood pressure levels dropped down to normal and I no longer take meds for them. And I no longer have gerd. I also lost 20 pounds by cutting down amounts. For one example when I order a burger I throw away the bottom half of the bun.

He is 100% right. I am a diabetic who started having issues with high blood pressure. My liver enzymes started go up! I had to buckle down... on my own by really watching my glucose patterns, I found I had to cut out all of the foods he has mentioned. And by taking advantage of some breathing exercises, isometric, resistance, and walking, I have slowly started to bring my BP down. I'm 2 weeks into it and my BP has been steadily going down! This is good stuff right! Thank you!
  • So true!! Few months after I started my keto I noticed that my blood pressure was normal 120/76/72 I ask my DR, and she told me to stop taking my high blood pressure meds. My blood pressure was 99/52/89 and I was very sleepy, otherwise I was ok 👍 but I did notice that if I eat carbohydrates my blood pressure went high, so no pizza no hamburgers no sugars of any kind no diet products either. But I do eat sushi 🍣 ones in a while, rice is not that bad, and life is beautiful when you feel good.🙏❤️. You are best 👍
  • @leetpg
I'm 79kg, 186cm tall. Been going to the gym for over 10 years yet always had 150/80. Two weeks into carnivore, my blood pressure is 122/70 for the first time in ever.
  • It’s insane! Every HBP article that I’ve read tells me the opposite. I’ve followed their advice and it has never worked. It’s not until I’ve followed Dr. Berry’s advice as well as other low carb folks that I’ve seen drastic success! I’m shocked at how pervasive this misinformation is in our world today. Thank you Dr. Berry for you knowledge in this area. You deserve your 1.5 million subs! Plus millions more!!

I so appreciate your consistency and no BS approach. I’m giving carnivore a try. I tried keto. Nope, I was fine for a few days, but eventually cheated too much. I’m absolutely addicted to sugar. I know that if I’m to make it past 75 years old, I must change past eating habits. Please wish me luck. Texas
  • I'm seeing issues with my blood pressure already at 24 and I only weigh 160 pounds. You just named my diet for the most part so it all makes sense. Time for a change
  • @sportysbusiness
'Healthy' whole food, high carb, low-fat diet. BP 170/95. 'Unhealthy' high-fat carnivore diet. BP now 116/75. My BP came down in just 3 months.
  • @jackshipley8879
Dang! My wife has been telling me this for years! Guess I need to apologize and follow the both of you😁
  • @not2tees
Thank you Dr. Berry for being so relatable and believable (and likely saving me from a stroke).
  • Was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with T2D, A1C at 6.7. Found your vids and took action. Got a glucose meter, cut soda, all breads of any kind, all starch vegs and went mostly carnivore. When I started BS in am was a high of 147 after a 12 hour fast. When I checked this morning I am at 103. I have lost 3 pounds and feel better overall. Thank you, will keep you posted on my progress. Have a check up with my cardiologist in 5 mos. I have already suffered 2 heart attacks before I was 50. The last one I died on the table. So I am working to stop and hopefully reverse this situation as much as possible. I have also started doing things I used to do, HIIT training, Tai Chi, Qi Gong and yoga. We shall see how far I get before my next check up. I am on 4 meds right now.
