Lyrics:

You’ve pulled a few strings,
Stolen my ideas
Taken my kindness for granted,
You’re not worth all the tears

I see you’re slipping stitches,
Your setup so passé
It's an easy victory for me
when your work's so cliché

Nobody stands a chance here in my way
is it so wrong to be selfish for a change?
Nobody stands a chance here in my way
is it so wrong to be selfish today?

Cut the cord
Mark the pins
You’re not bad at darning, darling
But that doesn't mean anything

Cut the cord,
and mark the pins,
You're not bad at what you do,
but that doesn't mean a thing

Seamless needlework
tailoring the perfect trim
I've got so much work to do,
where on earth do I begin?

Fearless infantry
Stand behind me in my stride
Stopping's not an option
when your goals are anything like mine

You've put up a fight,
Tearing at the inseam
Watching everything falling apart
won't keep me from my dream

  • Man I love it when a random girl gets access to military grade explosive weapons to get revenge in a tailor fight
  • @ChibipieKagane
Despite how the enemy is, I honestly like how the two robots that she first created managed to stay by her side until the very end
  • @xxx9mission
Never knew the designer from incredibles had such a dark past
  • @sleepless1602
Moral of the story: designers also good at robotics.
  • @vanexai
I love how the song slowly transitions from the antagonist's perspective to the protagonist's, and yet the lyrics stay the same. Perfectly showed how she turned into what she swore to destroy.
  • It's hard to call this TLT's hidden gem when it has 25 MILLION views but... yeah it's the hidden gem FOR SURE

'You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain
  • @kenderpy1571
The girl acts so broken that she was kicked out of the factory when she entered it by busting through a wall
  • The core message about revenge aside, one of my favorite details is the public wearing cut-up clothes by the end, and the fact that she's surrounded by only robots. It's questionable if she even did the cut-up fashion because she wanted to or just to one-up the other woman, and she's basically a military leader more than a fashionista at this point. Not only did she become her own villain; but she actually isn't even focused on what she initially wanted to do. She began destroying instead of creating. Her speech is also very ironic because she stopped really doing what she loved along time ago, and actively stops the other woman from doing that herself. It's a very powerful moral to remind people that sometimes it's better to focus on simply doing what you care about without worrying about other people, even if they're bastards, because you can easily lose sight of what you are doing and why in order to be the best or bring someone down. Sometimes the fight's just not worth it. She might have succeeded anyway had she just focused on her own work. She was clearly winning regardless.
  • man, this was one of my favorite songs in 2018... it was so catchy and you only realize the meaning behind it when you grow older. i don't know how i never noticed the hair changing color when i was younger
  • @grant1711
You know she would’ve probably accepted her if she didn’t enter by breaking down that wall.

Breaking News: Local clothes designer launches a terrorist attack on a local clothes designer corporation and follows up with an attack
  • I used to be OBSESSED with this song before, it was on loop for like 15 times before I went on the next song. Still awesome tho!
  • okay but 2:58 is actually the coolest shot, like chills man. Really gets across the "became the bad guy" message, plus the walk. Props to the artist man, honestly wish this was the thumbnail tho maybe if it was, it would spoil it and its definitely so much cooler when you don't expect the twist
  • "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

2:42 “Everybody needs to be given an opportunity doing what they love and no matter what happens I will make sure of it using whatever force I need you charge” I think that’s what she was saying
