He also discusses the difficulties gripping Chinese manufacturers. He speaks with Yvonne Man, David Ingles and Stephen Engle on "Bloomberg: The China Show."

Even if US doesn't buy Chinese EVs rest of the world will. US is behaving more and more like USSR everyday. I saw movies where USSR people couldn't get US clothes and couldn't listen to US music. This feels similar.

USA….. pathetic………what the f is “over capacity “ anyway and why doesn’t Bloomberg question yellen on these terms ……..

US goverment to the citizens: You are not allowed to buy Chinese cheap products. It is your duty as an American to pay more and keep American CEOs rich.
  • @williamppl3624
Doesn't tariffs make the goods more expensive and ultimately the ones who suffer are the consumers?

Ding dong, Biden would still lose the election putting up a show. US politics is so easily see through.

China, looks for partners while the US demands subjects.

It is time for the world to abandon US $ - American hegemonic tool
  • @phillee8666
Using printed money to buy things from China is already a huge advantage to the US. Or the USD will be worthless and inflation will shoot off the roof. This reminds me of Mark Twain‘sTom Sawyer. Tom didn't like the painting job his aunt asked him to do. But when he saw a boy came over, he tried to paint the wall with much interest and seemingly very enjoyable. At the end, the boy used his candy as exchange for Tom's painting job.

Offloading US bonds is China's highest priority at this moment

Heres the reality. You put tariffs on chinese goods. Enterprising Mexicans and Vietnamese will import from china, assemble it there, slap a made in vietnam or mexico label, make their profits and ship it to the usa. Instead of paying $200 for a chinese tv us will pay $400 for a made in vietnam tv with all chinese parts in it. The wonders of globalisation.

Remake of BANANAS Wars between US and EU - fight tariffs with tariffs.

This guy knows what he is talking about.
  • @MrStevemur
Tariffs alone were never going to be enough to rebuild industries in the US. It would take a consistent industrial policy over many years. Which is how the Chinese did it.
  • @silversurfergw
Beijing will ban boeing (for security reasons) and then impose symbolic tariff on its planes.

    It’s not a skill issue, it’s a management issue
