Parenting a child with ADHD is challenging — even more so when Mom has ADHD, too. In this webinar replay, Terry Matlen, LMSW, ACSW, will answer questions from overwhelmed and exhausted parents such as:
- How do I help my kids stay organized when I’m always losing things myself?
- How do I get them to bed when I have no set routines?
- How do I help them with homework when neither one of us can sit still and focus?
- How do I deal with the commotion of parenting when I’m so sensitive to noise and disruption?
- Why do I feel so guilty all the time?
- How can I connect with my child when all I want to do is run away?

So many great tips! I really want to find a support group outside of a giant group on Facebook. Can anyone tell me where to find them online? I don’t know how to find remote support groups on CHADD and my local group seems inactive.
  • Liked the video in 20:50 when her phone rang in the background and she went "aw I forgot to turn off my phone". LOVED IT!! I feel so seen :face-red-heart-shape:

Excellent video! ❤ This is exactly how I’ve always felt as a mom w adhd, even though I finally just figured out it was adhd, and my youngest is almost 18. I remember busting my butt trying to be “class mom” for the preschool and feeling like an imposter. Somehow I thought it would help my kids make friends. Turns out I kinda was an imposter bc many of the other moms lived in sparkling clean mansions and we lived in a dumpy apartment. One time the moms came over for tea time bc it was my turn to host and I remember they busted out laughing when we could hear my neighbor taking a shower through the thin walls. After that I stopped giving a sh*t and trying to be a stellar class mom. A-holes. I love how the speaker says she wants to punch out the perfect mom in the picture, heehee!!!🤣🤣🤣
