I think they used a mold to keep the pancake shape, also I think when you folded in the egg whites you deflated all the air in it hence why the pancakes became dense

people might hate on the eggs but if you’ve been watching kalel for a while, you’d see how DIFFERENT this video is in an amazing way!!! my mind is blown, i was like “she’s using real sugar?? and flour?? and eggs and she’s okay with it?” i just remember all the videos she would post about her new diets and how perfect and precise she would be, to make sure she knew everything that was going into her body was healthy.. idk this video was super refreshing & im here for it

What happened with the second batch is in combining the egg whites with the batter, you broke them by over mixing the two together, so essentially they lost their ‘meringue’ fluffy quality
