I have been gay for 35 years. But watching this video made me straight.

I miss the old Sam Smith with talent and depth...this is disgusting and sad.

I grew up in the 1970's listening to & idolizing gay male vocalists (i.e. David Bowie, Elton John, Freddie Mercury, the Village People and many more) & my naivety of youth spared me insight into the tumultuous world of homosexuality. I just saw it as some of the most imaginative, artistic & way outside the box thinking music the world has ever seen. Fast forward to today & I'm in my mid-50's. I myself am still decidedly heterosexual, but I'm not so self important to think that it's for everyone. As messed up as this world is with mysterious plagues, international war campaigns & fleecing by the government, sometimes you just have to accept love where you find it. We all had different life situations growing up & there's no instruction book that came with it. Just do what feels good. I applaud Sam for being the free spirit he is, but more importantly I can see past the flamboyance & appreciate him as a true artist. I've been a Heavy Metal musician all my life & am not afraid to appreciate other genres' works. This one's a keeper.

I remember when Sam smiths music actually had a meaning.

I miss the days when sex was special, private, and not a complete turnoff. I’m not here to make friends either. I’m here missing the time when intimacy wasn’t shoved in my face 24/7 turning it into nothing more than a commercial selling something.

I understand that people miss his old songs (myself included) but if you don’t like this new stuff or think it’s too much, that’s okay😊 just don’t listen/watch
