Sam Smith took to the stage for a surprise performance - a special rendition of “Him” and Grammy Award-Winning global hit, “Unholy”, having received the inaugural Cultural Innovator Award. Sam wore a custom black dress designed by Vivienne Westwood, as they entered the stage accompanied by a choir of 28 singers.

best performance of Unholy ever. This should be at the Grammys. Its so simply yet so outrageously dramatic at the same time. The vocal arrangements with the choir are incredible. Sorry Kim but you were not missed!

THIS WAS AMAZING! And the way their dress and the the veily part formed the wings of an angel at the end!!!! A fallen angel and a sinner! Really amazing. Love how they also gave the choir the chance to shine and sing instead of using them as a prop. Amazing and flawless performance.

This voice is incredible!!! 🖤🖤🖤 I love the vocals, the production, the looks, the choir, the fashion.... Hearing HIM today like that made me tear up so much. Sam really holds a special place in my heart!

I saw him perform at a club in Chicago about 10 years ago. Tickets were $14.00!! His voice was amazing then and still terrific 👏 worth alot more than $14.00 now

Great job Sam that performance gave me chills. It was so vulnerable and fierce. From the lighting to the choir the vocals and costuming it was a great performance.
