Garlic Benefits For Health

Garlic contains a compound called allicin, which is largely responsible for its therapeutic properties. Allicin is released when garlic is crushed or chopped, and it's known for its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects. Here are some benefits of eating garlic:

Boosts Immunity: Garlic has antimicrobial properties that can help fight off infections, including bacterial, fungal, and viral infections. It may also stimulate the activity of immune cells.

Heart Health: Garlic is believed to have heart-healthy effects by lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels. It may also reduce the risk of heart disease by improving circulation and preventing the formation of blood clots.

Antioxidant Properties: Garlic contains antioxidants that help neutralize harmful free radicals in the body, which may reduce the risk of chronic diseases and slow down the aging process.

Anti-inflammatory Effects: The compounds in garlic have anti-inflammatory properties, which may help alleviate symptoms of inflammatory conditions like arthritis and inflammatory bowel diseases.

Improves Blood Sugar Levels: Some studies suggest that garlic may help regulate blood sugar levels by increasing insulin sensitivity, which could be beneficial for individuals with diabetes or at risk of developing diabetes.

Cancer Prevention: There is some evidence to suggest that garlic consumption may reduce the risk of certain types of cancer, including stomach, colorectal, and prostate cancer. The antioxidants in garlic may help protect cells from damage that can lead to cancer development.

Improved Digestive Health: Garlic has been traditionally used to aid digestion and relieve gastrointestinal discomfort. It may also have prebiotic effects, promoting the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.

Overall, incorporating garlic into your diet can be a flavorful way to enhance your health and well-being, but it's essential to enjoy it as part of a balanced diet rather than relying solely on it for medicinal purposes.

  • I was inspired by the Lord to make this salad and dressing. I eat it at least 5 times a week for the past 8 years. I was so sick with autoimmune, connective tissue disorders, and 28 additional comorbidities …..I have improved immensely on this diet. I also include meats, fish and homemade breads. Salad; Chopped baby romaine lettuce One chopped shallot One bunch of chopped green onions One stalk of chopped celery 1/2 cup of halved red grapes 1/4 cup of slivered almonds Salad Dressing; (I make a bottle for future uses) I cup best quality of olive oil 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice 2 Tbl sps apple cider vinegar 2 Tbl sps grainy mustard 2 Tbl spoons raw honey locally grown 9 cloves of ( freshly zested garlic). 1 tsp of ground black pepper. Shake well, making sure that the honey is well mixed. I allow myself a piece of fresh bread with butter and I sop up every bit of remaining dressing with the bread. Everything in this is either anti inflammatory, anti oxidant, immune boosting, and just plain old satisfying. This dressing is great to drizzle over vegetables, dip breads in, and sometimes just pour over a sliced avocado.

Just thought about garlic earlier today 👍

If one eats a fresh raw clove of garlic that chewing is crushing and activating that alliinase releasing the allicin. I am not certain why you discouraged it. Aged fermented garlic extract (sometimes referred to as black garlic) gives significant health benefits, especially for reducing plaque from arterial walls.

  • More than once I've tried to chew up a clove of garlic. I have immediate intestinal pain and instantly feel nauseous and throw up. I'm not allergic because I can eat it in other ways
  • My favorite food EVER!!! I've been enjoying it raw since childhood, to the chagrin of family! LOL One has to wait 10 mins. after chopping or cutting it for the allicin to take effect, I read. Thanks so much for your excellent, biblical information! Best youtube channel!
  • @thebiblicalnutritionist. Hello Annette! I’m a 49 year old fairly healthy woman. 6 months ago I got shingles on my head and over my left eye. Praise the Lord it didn’t cause any vision problems, but I am still dealing with numbness and some nerve pain. I would rather not take medication! Any suggestions on foods for healing nerve damage. Thank you so much!!!
