  • If you plan on going to the Olympics, see if you can get your money back get it back. There are going to be problems not because of the right but because of the extreme left.

  • Who is much more prone to violence? Who is much more to feelings rather than reason?
  • The French electoral system uses the tried and tested divide and conquer strategy to divide and weaken French voters as and when required by it's ruling/political class designers to retain their power and control. Hopefully the French people eventually achieve the necessary level of cohesion to break free of this contrived ruling/political class entrapment. In the meantime, the French people will experience even more political, economic and social chaos. The same is true (albeit in less complicated political forms) for the people of the UK and the U.S.

It's poor negotiating for Macron to begin by saying he "won't work with the Left." It eliminated his chance for his "Center" party to lead a majority coalition that includes the Left. And that lost opportunity will make it difficult to get the Far Right to agree to let Center lead a majority coalition of Far Right & Center. Left & Right would each have an incentive to agree to be the minor partner in a coalition with Center (a "lesser of evils" compromise) if Center could credibly threaten to go in the other direction (the "greater evil") to assemble a majority.
