In the later part of the videoI left the un-edited tests at normal speed, in case you want to draw your own conclusions. Like I said, I tested the base speed (with no extra movespeed modifiers) to avoid unwanted complications + it would've required a MUCH much bigger run track. And generally, whichever you see as a winner...will be even stronger with nimble/swift/runner, etc anyway. Extra info - all Sprint tests were done by holding Shift first, and then pressing W to move. This ensured a consistent way to track them. - when stamina bar got empty, movement was continued by holding Shift and W until it came back to immediately gain speed once it did I also suggest checking mamaco's testing video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_vaosEz3P8 Their results are slightly different (I'm assuming shift wasn't pressed at the same time for all tests?)

While jumping straight to the quivern would be great, its mount technology is at 37 compared to the vanwyrm at 21

Taking Stamina into account, Jetragon having 100 and Suzaku having 350 is quite a massive difference. Regardless of speed and such, Suzaku just lets you actually fly and explore all over the place for a very very long time. best overall seems to be Frostallian/Falaris/Suzaku for your mount. And Jetragon not for exploring or anything, just porting someplace and speeding somewhere fast. Best thing about fire Pal's of course is they keep you warm and light up the area.
  • This is a great video for the movement speed alone. However I can highly recommend when you hit the level for it to use Shadowbeak over everything else you could get before him. He might be a bit slower than Felaris but by god I have never seen such a broken Pal with his exclusive skill. This skill alone deals more damage than I think everything else in the game. Mine oneshots every "guardian" boss like anubis, etc. and is amazing at aoe clearing aswell. So dropping a little bit of movement speed to have such a broken ability is well worth it imo

Vanwyrm has been my go-to since it offers a bonus to weak point damage while being ridden. Nothing is more fun than silently flying up to a camp and picking everyone off with musket headshots.

They say perception is reality.. I use suzaku, but until this i wasnt sure i was right in that decision . I just unlocked his saddle.. what i noticed with suzaku is its animation seems slower than the rest when at full speed, it gives the perception of not going as fast, But that stam8na last forever and the speed you think youre not doing( actually are) is compensated by the distance travelled im glad folk like you do the work to prove folks like me's opinions correct. Thank you.. P.s i got a suzaka aqua with swift and the other speed trait just need to bre3d in the level 1 speed boost.. or "legendary" if i can get it soon Lol
  • @SimonCleric
Quivern is the cutest though, so... you know... automatic win :P
  • @chuckec
For me, it’s swift runner vanwyrm cryst. The swag factor is off the charts.

I was using a perfect Nitewing this entire time with all Movement Passives, but you can easily breed them down to whatever mount you'd like 👍 for example I have a eikthyrdeer and nitewing with all movement passives, which happen to be in a lot of quick & easy breeding combinations
  • @0x0404
Nice info. Thanks. Exactly what I was looking for.
  • @KEN-nh7om
This video is EXACTLY what i've been needing, thank you! If you make one for ground mounts that would be awesome as well.
  • @kandikyl3
Loved the video, I was looking for a video just like it the other day and couldn't find one. Thank you!
  • There is one more factor to possibly consider and thats moves. Like faleris has a dash move that goes a long distance. Also shadowbeak and I assume quivern cannot hover over water. Granted my shadowbeak has enough stam to cross any body of water, but still noteworthy. It bears testing but I feel like you get more stamina (or rather, lower stam drain) when you upgrade their partner skill. And then, shadowbeak also has the coolest move in the game, divine disaster, at an insane 160 power which I think might be the highest non suicide move which is enhanced while riding it.

I'm really curious how Frostallion measures up to Frostallion Noct, especially since you can stack the other speed buffs on the Hellzephyr you breed to get Noct, while you can't stack those on a genuine Frostallion.
  • @kayceec43
This is what I've been wanting to see. Thx!! I'll check in for the ground mounts.
  • @jinhong91
Vanwyrm is the mount that I rode the longest simply because it was the best that I could get at that level. Plus it was the first flying mount that I got the Swift passive for so it would be better than any other flying mounts I could get my hands on.
  • @Optimusj1975
I'm changing to a bred Suzaku from Vanwyrm because of the temperature shielding they provide. I get a little more resistant to heat while riding and they protect from cold just for being around.
  • @noluck3267
I need same video but with ground mounts. Thx for the video btw!!
