My Thoughts On Lidia Sobieska! - Tekken 8

For you Soul Calibur mains, Lidia heavily reminds me of Maxi and how he enters different stances while he attacks.

I haven't gone through everything with a fine toothed comb yet, but I get the feeling that her niche is in controlling neutral. It feels like a higher amount of her moves jail versus other characters, and of course she has built-in rush down that forces the opponent into mix-up defense. Political Storm is entirely guaranteed if the first hit hits, not even on CH. I was shocked by that, especially because it ends with a heat engager. Not sure if it was the same in T7, being fully guaranteed. It also fully jails from the first hit, which is active in 14 frames. As a trade-off she has useless lows. If she had decent lows she would be broken. So instead just have to focus on pressuring people into making mistakes taking their turn.

Her second stance has a mid high. The mid kick has an extension

I typically stay away from stance characters but I'm also drawn to characters that have parry/reversals and just frame mechanics. Plus, I like her overall design so I'm going to try and learn her.

At the start of this vid. I see many people saying she's watered down Reina. Hoping you've got a different opinion :)

I really like her. I think I'm gonna try and learn her and have her as a secondary. The execution of her combos is something I'm gonna have to get used to tho.

Man if only she had some passable lows, all of them are in the range of meh to horribly bad.

I pretty much played only her since she came in tekken 7. I just find her very fun to play. Now ill wait for Miguel..

why is his nose always red

Nobody is going to touch her in tournament. She only becomes strong after she powers up, so that means she’s good starting 3rd round. Emphasis of “good,” not “amazing.” She has no good lows, which is a huge downer. Her best low is locked in stance now. Terrible.

Too many stances, i rather just wait for Heihachi, more simple character.
