I hope we're not ignoring the fact that someone vandalized EVO's winners list. Whoever did it needs to get caught with a warning, or however the staffs feel.
  • @TyrannusHF
Guess he really lived up to his name huh

I've always believed that the Infiltration ban was from participating in tournaments at most of these events, and mostly of the Street Fighter/Capcom variety and nothing else... but also as a spectator? That's crazy. As far as I know, he's being banned for something that happened in South Korea... OFF PLATFORM... NOT AT AN EVENT... IN HIS PERSONAL LIFE... WITH HIS EX-WIFE... and the worst that happened was that he gripped his ex-wife's wrists too hard leaving marks when she was going crazy and destroying his stuff and wouldn't allow him to leaver her out of that toxic marriage then proceeded to plead guilty just to move on.... ALL OFF PLATFORM... BACK HOME... IN SOUTH KOREA. NOT AT AN EVENT AGAIN! As far as I know, Infiltration has never been punished or reprimanded for bad behavior at ANY of these public events and always carried himself with proper decorum with all his peers and competitors. Other people have done so much more AT events... and no one gets treated with the same energy that Infiltration is being treated with. It's ridiculous. This is all performative and all these organizations & corporations have no backbone, have no standards and are at the mercy of this irrational vigilante mob that don't want to see corrections or for people getting better... they just want to see blood, and they're co-signing all of this with this stupid ban that shouldn't even have happened in the first place... all because of optics and social pressure from unhinged people that are not worth listening to who probably have a ton of skeleton in their own closets. It's disgusting and they should be ashamed in partaking in it. I've been on Infiltrations side pretty much since the details of the incident came out and the longer this goes on... the more nonsensical this is. Especially for OFF PLATFORM domestic behavior. I hope they keep this same energy for everyone else... especially people who vandalize EVO property AT THEIR event ON PLATFORM.

"Why don't you show some proof you were innocent" is the dumbest question I"ve seen in a long time for several reasons.
  • @AdversaryOne
The whole Infiltration thing is sad and pisses me off. Why would they write that above his name when he's not even a Smash player.
  • @Choom89
Whoever vandalized the Evo Champions list and wrote that is a real POS, makes everyone look bad.
  • @ludoletono
Fun fact Hayao did in fact take a picture with every one he played against.
  • INFILTRATION might have given up on appealing the ban and just thought fuck it. Nothing I do now can make it worse if I have a lifetime ban that can never be lifted by any means.
  • Funny how Noel " I beat and sexually harass women" Brown is not only allowed, but also able to compete in UMVC while Infil and Fchamp are banned for less. 🤔
  • @iPoW4o8
No offense to anyone but didn’t Noel, who played in the Evo side tourney get caught groping a women and fighting someone in a tourney? Makes no sense, keep the same energy FGC!

If Infiltration was forbidden from participating in events, then they should clarify whether that means playing in the event or other things. I and many other people would call it a stretch to wrap "being a spectator" into the definition of participating. By that logic, I participated in Street Fighter 6 Top 6 and did not lose a single round from the comfort of my own home. And regardless of their rulings on how banned Infiltration is, they still honor his name in the museum. As part of Evo, they should pull the security footage of the museum section and have the person(s) who participated in vandalizing the property of Evo and writing a word on it that (even as a descriptor, incorrect or otherwise) is a very sensitive topic for some people, and have them banned from Evo and possibly other events. Who's to say that somebody else like this won't come to Evo in future years and just cross out names of other competitors and write slurs or other sensitive topics on the wall because this incident with Infiltration having this done to his name was seen as an "unpunished success".
  • @LordAlbrecht
I mean Capcom flat out ignored Infiltration every time he reached out to them. They were showing no signs of ever letting him back so he probably just thought that he might as well, since it's not like they can do anything worse to him
  • @gamepeon8038
I think him showing up is proof he came to terms with it and doesn't care how they respond. It's crazy to me that there is higher standards for fighting game players than politicians. Some people in the FGC made it their mission to get him banned from fighting games in general because at first it was just going to be only Street Fighter for a couple of years, but I guess they got extra salty (triggered) when he won Samurai Showdown in 2019.
  • That Zangief psycho on X is a prime example of someone who doesn't care about fighting games, just about ruining others lives. There are so many people like that in this community.
  • @bbboywaxr
Aint no way blud got banned for something outside the FGC. People hate police but love to cosplay as them 😂

Always got to support my bro Ernesto! Plus I'm glad you covered the Infiltration situation. Want to shed some light on this as someone who went to EVO for the first time this year so LONG comment incoming. I took a video of that board of champions (as B-roll footage) the first day and everything was good. The 2nd day was when I saw the R and his named crossed out so someone did that at night before they closed up shop as myself and my buddies were there as they were closing and I walked by that board again and everything was fine. We took notice of it Saturday morning. Get this, you know how they tried to censor it? By putting BLUE TAPE over it. Good job considering someone simply ripped it off that same day. I legit chuckled at the attempt and knew someone was going to rip the tape that same day and boy was I correct. Tape probably lasted a few hours on there. Now granted, idk who made the attempt to cover it, either a guest or someone important at the venue, but someone made an attempt to cover it up albeit a poor attempt. My buddy said he saw Infiltration but wasn't sure and I kept hearing other peeps at the venue talking and bringing it up that he was here. Lie to you not, EVERY SINGLE TIME his name was brought it was nothing but love and hoping they run into him for a photo. Now granted, peeps may not like him but when I go on twitter and people wanna cry about him being there, I didn't hear that same outcry in person. So, I can almost guarantee that some of these same clowns with these fake avatars on their profiles claiming to be upset, were the same ones that took a photo with him at the venue singing his praises. Everyone I spoke to or caught wind of a conversation had nothing but love as Infiltration even pointed this out in his tweet since no one said anything. Funny, cuz they go hop on twitter to cry and complain instead of telling security (who were very easy to find there). Even if security didn't know who he was, they could've provided a photo and show proof of his ban which is easy to do and they could've put out a BOLO or something if they really felt their "safety" was compromised. I mean hell, on Saturday night someone behind me as I walked out the venue with a Disney Goofy ass laugh was like "huh huh huh this is funny lemme take a picture" Hate him or not, this Infiltration hate train is stupid when you have peeps writing the R when that's not even what he went to court for. So now they're just making BS up to slander his name. Considering Noel Brown is not banned, but won't get into that. Regardless, I do believe that this hurts his chances even more for a possible unban in the future though. Sorry for the rant but wanted to put some things in perspective from someone who was there.
  • @im_cart8656
'dude, why don't you just show proof you didn't do it?' how dumb are these people.. there is a reason why we do it the other way around...
  • People are so quick to cancel without all the facts and hearing both sides, its crazy .
  • @DylanRutter
I saw him and asked for a picture! He's a super nice guy
