To grow algae quickly I use bacter ae similar to how you use your bacteria powder on the soil. Algae in general loves phosphorus, ammonia and nitrates the most, lots of phosphorus can get you staghorn or black beard algae and I've found that staghorn especially likes to grow on the cactus tree (dried cholla cactus)

Such a clean shrimp room! Love it.

Excuse the English because I use google translater. But by the time I believe you have already solved the mystery. But in my shrimp cultivation, I only use the sun and algae blooms, if you don't have it easy, we have lamps to simulate the sun and algae blooms will bloom. The ammonia and the nitrite chain, in addition to the residues of the feed and feces, are sufficient nutrients to suck up the algae. If I need a lot of algae, then I would have to build a separate system and have the source of carbon, potassium and other smaller scale minerals. But normally any fertilizer for aquatic plants already has all of this , then you could even do multi trophism , with spirulina and or chorreollela

Your tanks are so beautiful ❤️ The little corner box gravel filters are such a good idea i've never seen that before xD

Thank you so much for the video!! Very informative
-
I love this method! I'll give it a shot:)

In a cycling tank I leave the lights on for many days in a row to grow algae
-

Hi, I very like your aquariums👍 I've made the experience that with a daily addition of Bacter AE, a good fast water flow and a lighting duration of at least 10 hours (provided there is no nitrate in the water) it turns increasingly green. The use of boxes with soils is also standard for me. A good method would also be that of Vin Fish with a soil thickness of at least 15 cm on the ground, no soil boxes. However, the annual soil change is a problem with the Vin Fish method.

quite an interesting and informative video. I was having pho with a friend about 9 years ago across the country and he mentioned, the best and healthiest breeding shrimp tanks are the most ugly ones full of algae. Such a hard balance fo rme to have a visually pleasing tank vs what's best for the shrimp. great content and can't wait for the next video!

Full spectrum lights will help in forming algae
-
I love the content. For algea us a little powdered fish flakes in a cycling tank.
-
I turn my bubblers to the tank sides and the algae forms a nice carpet on the side of the tank from the flow.
-
No doubt lights for more than 10 hrs do the magic of brown & green algea In cycling tank .Also we can add a small piece of land moss which helps in growth of algae with extra lighting hours

maybe try dosing with an aquarium plant fertilizer product

I don't keep shrimp yet but the shell the mosquito larvae they leave behind seems like something a shrimp would like to eat.
