This picture^ alone is so nostalgic. :) I cannot believe Universal (or anyone) never built a hotel themed to this Jurassic Park Visitor Center.

Ambient Worlds truly spared no expense...

Finally. Now I can relax whilst imagining being devoured by dinosaurs 🙂

You know as a kid who grew up in the late 90's /early 00's, Jurassic Park was one of my favorite movies (never too scary for me!), and there was always a part of me that just really, really wished that the park had worked. The buildings were so pretty, the gift shop toys looked so fun; when I was kid, I really wanted to go there. Just, you know, without the possibility of a horrific death.

It’s all nice and relaxing til your water starts rippling
  • When you've driven off all the stupid humans from your island and you can vibe in the jungle in peace.

John fucking Williams, ladies and gentlemen! Thank you for this bit of nostalgia today, Ambient Worlds. I feel a six-year-old’s wonder all over again. 🥲

What I love most about this is that it doesn't just focus on repeating the iconic theme over and over and instead actually focuses on other songs from the soundtrack which are often underrated. Well done! spared no expense! ;)

As a kid, I’d always imagine what it would be like to visit Jurassic Park, how incredible it would be if it was all real. That wonder and excitement still stays with me to this day. Somehow this simple backdrop combined with the music, rain and ambient sounds almost transports me to the park. I imagine that would be the view looking out of the hotel window at night.

In a way, this is what John Hammond wanted. For us to come back to this place. To see it again and feel nostalgia. And the music makes it so much better. Jurassic parks lives in our heads. A park where the prehistoric is at our fingertips lives on in the hearts of the fans. And videos like this help us visit those dreams. It helps us escape the reality that we are in, and takes us to the place we want to go. Even if it’s for just a little bit.

The original film holds such strong nostalgia for me. I was eleven at the time and my 6th grade class went on a field trip to see the film in theatres. It was such a jaw dropping wonder for a kid that age of the 90's who had never seen dinosaurs outside of picture books. I remember sitting next to my best friend and we both were terrified and excited at the same time when the T-Rex finally made her grand entrance. Gosh I miss my childhood.

those first few notes made me cry a bit, the entire jurassic park/world franchise is so goddamn awesome, the original movie is always gonna be my favourite movie ever.

This feels like the original intention: an old man's dream to fill the world with wonder, but it went wrong and now all that's left is a faded memory

I’ve never heard anyone bring up how happy Hammond looks is when they land, but when they leave he is sad.
  • @JoshuaModerwell
I like how you had combined the music from the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films and the music from Jurassic World Evolution. That is a stroke of genius.

I've been playing Lego Jurassic World over Christmas and since Jurassic Park is basically a mild horror movie, you never really notice how beautiful the music is. This is my background music for the first day back at work today.
