Pedro Pascal has talked about his love of iPad games in interviews and takes his iPad everywhere he goes. So it's not impossible to say he took the job partly because he enjoys playing the game, plus being offered a fuck ton of money.

The knife scene literally made me laugh out loud. I played this game for years and you have to merge so many freaking knives to make all the other tools you need. So the shed full of knives was like a joke referencing the actual gameplay.

At this point merge mansion should just make a full-length movie starring Pedro and Kathy Bates. I would much rather watch that over playing the game

Think how fun it would be if they eventually made an actual full blown movie with Kathy Bates as the grandma, Pedro Pascal as the detective and maybe Felicia Day as the woman whose husband is missing. He either ran away, was murdered or was blackmailed to leave by the grandma. It would be an awesome murder mystery movie!

It's crazy how they made a so well done ad. When i saw it first i was like "YO! A COOL DETECTIVE MOVIE WITH PEDRO PASCAL!!" but then i read and i was like "nope".

“To catch a grandma you have to think like a grandma” is so funny to me because I literally work in a nursing home. I am very well versed in thinking like a grandma to try and figure out what the hell these residents are doing.

I actually have the game, it’s actually really good. Only problem is that the story in the ads is completely different to the actual game, like it’s just merging random items and maybe getting the Grandma to say “Oh I knew that guy” every 20 minutes.

As someone who's on level 39 of this game, can confirm there is no body... or murder. Just people freaking out over a wrist watch and refusing to tell the main character girl why. Also, grandpa's alive.
