Today, that's exactly what I'll be doing, breaking down every inch of the stage and pointing out the flaws, the highlights, and the ridiculous oversights and bugs.

  • Even when I was a kid playing Brawl, and I adored items and all the craziness of non-competitive play: I HATED this stage. You don't "play" on 75m, you are simply at its mercy...

    I don't think this infamous stage needs a 20 minute video, but I'm glad to have it anyway.
  • Also isn’t just “great” that the Pauline spirit battle (arguably the hardest spirit battle in ultimate) is also in 75 mm
  • The best option would have been to make a stage based on the first level, it's more iconic and with some tweaking it could have worked very similarly to that of Moray Towers.

  • Can't believe 75m got in for three games, but Bowser's Castle can't be a stage in one.
  • As a pit main, thanks for always bringing up the nair-fair hitboxes, it needs to be known
  • This is something that is easy to miss about adaptation: Staying true to the source is important(I prefer for everything to be tuned towards faithfulness first) but you have to understand why those elements worked in the source. Simply dropping something from a completely different context into a new medium is going to require some adjustments and tweaking in order to make it function. I feel like there's a lot of ways they could have represented this stage that stayed true to the original without it being a nightmare to play on...

  • I still can’t believe this stage is in smash ultimate, but great stages like pokefloats aren’t Edit: I just want to say, I don’t think the smash team is lazy. They put so much content into this game and it is so fun. I have put a couple thousand hours into and enjoyed every moment. But I would have liked to see a couple stages get added that did not ( such as pokefloats).Also I would have liked stages like pac-land and 75m to be removed in this game, but it’s whatever. With that said, I am not mad they did the things they did, the game is still great the way it is.

  • This is one of my least favorite stages. the real kicker is that any other Donkey Kong stage would have made it decent
  • I remember playing it on brawl and I always hated when it got chosen on random
  • My biggest issue with the stage is literally the first thing he mentions Those goddamn ladders Seriously in the most air focused Smash game, why did the developers make it so you auto grab them if you so much as tap up & down in any sort of way, I swear this was Sakurai’s revenge for being overworked
  • I honestly feel like any of the other Donkey Kong layouts would've worked better for Smash than 75m.

    I agree that this stage is a catastrophe, but sometimes, when you're drinking with your mates, that's exactly what you want. I've chosen this stage to the groans of agony from everyone in the room, followed by 7 minutes of absolutely unbearable clusterfuck goodness. Its just too bad to even be upset about. A masterpiece.

    At least the Omega & Battlefield versions of the stage look nice. That's more than can be said for some stages.
  • Imagine if the stage was designed somewhat closer to the classic DK but with more hazards around, and whoever got to the top first would get control over DK. It could make for a fun run to the top, chaotic stage that still has enough solid ground to have regular fights
