  • "Skull Mask shoves her head first through an industrial bread slicer?" Golden Chainsaw award contender right there.
  • @Lushy2904
I may be the only one to feel this way, but Simon’s and Kate’s deaths were really unexpected for me. They made it so far to the end of the movie, both escaping death multiple times, only for them to die a good 15 minutes before the end of the movie But I will say, Kate’s death was honestly really creative, I’ve never seen it done in any horror movies I’ve seen before. Simon’s death was less creative but it was still unexpected

The bread slicer kill really shocked me. It really seemed like they'd do the common trope where she'd turn it around and kill/escape skull mask, but instead she just dies. Shocked me and GOD THAT WAS SOME COOL GORE
  • @justinchild8439
I think what made Kate's death so shocking for me was that I thought it was going to be one of those horror movies where everyone makes it out in the end. It changed subgenres suddenly and violently -- I remember thinking "oh wouldn't it be ridiculous if they shoved her head through there??" And sure enough it was sad and shocking. (Also Kate was my favorite character)
  • Worth noting, but there was originally pushback with the bread slicer kill. They didn't believe that a bread slicer could really do that to a skull, so they brought a watermelon to test it. They were fully expecting it not to work, but it surprised them and it did.

I like that I actually felt sad for Kate & Simon. Emotional weight behind deaths in horror movies is always more impactful. Also, Kate gets the Golden Chainsaw for the rest of ever. I was genuinely shocked at that moment. Loved the trilogy as a whole, really satisfied with it.

“Sherif Good? More like Sherif mother[BLEEP]in Evil!” That janitor just guessed the entire story.
  • Kate's death shook me so hard to the core that I hardly even comprehended Simon's

The amount of difficulty James had with this kill count where it seemed like it would be easier to just give up just shows his devotion to his viewers this is why he is the best youtuber ever
  • @d_r_mills
I know Simon's attitude toward the murders in the beginning was pretty cold sounding, but honestly I think it was just to show how desensitized Shadyside as a whole is to the killings, since it happens so often throughout its history.

As someone nearing 40 who grew up pretty much devouring these books, I adored the Fear Street Netflix trilogy.
  • @irlzombie437
i was genuinely so sad for kate and simon. they were both killed only minutes before it ended
  • @bazinga7194
Finally it escaped copyright hell, this series is so fun can’t wait to see more from it.
  • When Kate died, it Shocked the absolute fuck out of me. She slowly became my favourite character in the film, and when she died I was heart broken. Thank you James for never giving up and managing to release this count.

“Deena is gonna need a way to kill her girlfriend” “perfect! A lobster”
  • @minji03
As someone with allergies and has been taught that epipen can be dangerous if not used correctly, seeing dina use all those epipens on sam makes me so anxious
  • @ennfrank8263
i like that fear street literally didn’t mind murdering.. damn near everyone
  • @sonoftnt6598
Right as I saw the breadslicer kill i immediately said in my head, “that is definitely the golden chainsaw”
  • @1stCommentCop
I love the scene where Deena and Sam are arguing just cause of one thing When Deena says: ”All you had to do was suck it up, literally!” Peter is like ”Well you’re not wrong”
  • @loki1456
That bread slicer kill was so gnarly, I'm so glad my cousin was watching this with me. She lightened the mood by saying, "that is definitely a golden chainsaw".
