what's weird about this show is that I generally don't even eat at any of these places anymore yet find this show so interesting

Australian law states that all ingredients used in consumable products MUST be avalible for the sake of consumer choice, food allergies and medical reasons. They even specify how they must be written, listed, how to display and how easily avalible it is to find. It's a shame the US doesn't have something similar.

yes Australians call chicken sandwiches chicken burgers. we refer to pretty much anything on a burger bun as a 'burger'. it'd only be a chicken sandwich if it were on regular bread. so when we say chicken burger we don't always mean like a ground up chicken pattie or a big chicken nugget like the mcchicken, we mean any other kind of chicken sandwich served on a burger bun as well like as Americans would typically call a 'chicken sandwich'. The only possible exception would be like roast or rotisserie chicken chopped up and then put onto a burger bun... that wouldn't be something you'd typically find in Australia... but we'd probably call that a sandwich despite the burger bun. Not sure why, but I think that'd be the case.

There is always something about Hungry Jacks in Australia that at times it just hits better than Mcdonalds

I’m back baby! Love doing this series with Britt. Also this was a wild hair day for me 😛 If any 80s cover bands are looking for a keytarist 🙋🏼‍♂️
  • Her note on Wendy’s wanting to enter Australia is also subject to lawsuits and problems because we already have a Wendy’s brand they sell icecream, milkshakes & hotdogs in shopping centres all over the country
  • As a Jamaican watching this video I'm proud to say I would rather try burger king in Australia than the US any day.

Hungry Jacks has far better burger selection than McDonalds in Australia, but McDonalds got their Coffee right here when they invented McCafe in 1993 and eventually rolled it out to every single store.

Hungry Jacks was some of the best fast food I've ever had in my life. I was devastated leaving the country knowing I'd have to go back to BK.

Who’s gonna tell Joe that even KFC in Australia doesn’t have biscuits :P
  • @CubejamF1
No wonder Australia is such a nice place to go, everyone's so relaxed 😂, Britt is just calmly getting everything out slowly and relaxed 😌
  • @jaspetty
Joe saying McDonald’s has a better burger selection than Burger King has to be the wildest thing uttered by him.

The Australian burgers look really good!

Just incase you're curious, yes... we did used to have Chicken Fries in Hungry Jack's. Unfortunately, it was one of those limited time exclusives. So yeah, I definitely missed them so dearly. I love Hungry Jack's. The primary school I went to down here in Tassie [Tasmania] was literally across the road from it and I used to go there when I have some money or for some dinner. I remember having a birthday party there as a kid and yes, they used to have paper crowns. OK, let's be real... I live in Launceston or what we like to nickname Launnie. Been living there for 2 decades now. I don't really go there as much now but I do tend to order a delivery from there occasionally. Also, my birthday parties are no longer interesting now as an adult. It feels so crazy that this was all nearly 2 decades ago. Being 25 makes me feel old now and my life was in shambles during my teenage and young adult years. I lost both my parents growing up too. Thankfully I am moving on and I'm calling 2024 the "Year of New Chapter". I am thinking about doing things that I used to do as a teenager, that being going out and walking at parks, reading and borrowing books from the library, checking out the museum and art gallery. I got a life ahead of me, I should focus on making me feel happy without staring at a screen. I might have to make my Weekends and Mondays a little more interesting. I can't blame you for the caramel to be really popular, it is MY FAVORITE FLAVOR!!!!

As an American, I've adopted the word Brekkie also. I have a jar of Vegemite in my cabinet too❤ love it.

I want to see the USA and British crew try a classic Aussie works burger with the beetroot and everything
  • @Trontasia
Here in America, we have a food brand in stores called 'Hungry Jack's' who does breakfast items like pancakes, waffles, syrup, & dinner items like Instant Mashed Potatoes. So I've been unsure if they're the same brand as the Australian Burger King with the name 'Hungry Jack's'.
  • I show my friends these videos when they ask what you can do with a journalism degree.
