The Real Reason why Ichigo can't be a Captain!

Ichigo stands better as he is now, a protector savior of the worlds with his normal human life. It's interesting how Tokinada praised Ichigo for his selfless heroism while ridiculing everyone else for theirs in support or against the status quo. Then he wondered why he doesn't use his powers for negative pursuits.

Ichigo is just that a Protector. Protecting the ones that need him. His goal was never to become a Captain, but to attain power to protect others.

This feels like missing the forest for the trees somewhat... Ichigo is still alive, why is this even a question?

Nobody asks this question becuz it’s silly. He’s still a human with a family and life why would he throw that away to be a captain

If anything Ichigo is technically now a part of the Royal family considering that he's a Shiba who became a Vessel for the Soul King, just because he isn't used as such doesn't mean he isn't, so you could call him a Prince of all the Realms in that sense.

Shunsui said he hoped ichibe was taking ichigo up to the soul palace in the sereteis best interest. I took it as he hoped he didn't chop ichigo up right then and there and used him as the SK causing a civil war in the seretei. It would split up the entire gotei. It would make it even worse given they were in the middle of a war with the quincy. Byakuya made it clear that he will kill anyone that's a enemy to ichigo. Then there's rukia, renji, zaraki, ikkaku (and by default yumichika), the vizards, the humans (including fullbring), all the hollows on ichigos side (nel, grimmjow), his dad, the quincy. Though, I doubt kisuke would help. He isn't ichigos friend. He takes the status quo over anyone (unless he calculates that siding with ichigos camp would be better) but he's made it clear he'll sacrifice anyone for the "sake of the seretei". This brings up yoruichi, would she go with kisuke or fight to help ichigo? Then there's aizen. He would choose to fight to save ichigo because he's his project and it goes against the seretei. Would hitsugaya side with ichigo or side with shunsui and ichibe?

Ichigo is non union, so he can’t become a captain.

I think he is not dead yet and he still have a life to live no matter how much stronger he became

Ichigo's destiny is the same as the Spiritual King's because in that way he is protecting everything he loves right now, the human world, and Soul Society and even Hueco Mundo.

I thought about this before a while back. And I agree with you that Ichigo wouldn't want to become a captain. But on the other hand, I can see him actually becoming a captain after his life ends in the world of the living. So when he dies his soul will be transferred to the soul society, and most likely he will probably keep his younger form and eventually be promoted to Captain.

Become a captain by defeating the current captain isn't an option available exclusively to the 11th division.. One can challenge any captain they feel they have a shot at beating. Only thing is the 11th squad is the only division that almost exclusively always uses this method to appoint a new captain, while other squads tend to shun it as barbaric. But the very same method can be used for any other captain spots

They should make squad 14 Subsitute/Soul Police division for dealing with stuff like fullbringer arc and bount arc and aizen and ichimaru. In other words dealing with expetional circumstances like the bounts and other adversaries on earth and internal soul society conflicts. As well as dealing with hollows on an as needed basis. Also the squad 14 barracks could have two locations both on earth and soul society. And both human and shinigami could be in said squad 14

Ichigo would have to be head captain or a royal guard. a Simple captain is.....eh.....his power is closer to a god in bleach, It wouldnt make sense for him to be a captain. However that said Ichigo would also need to learn leadership skills, Also he would have to enlist in soul society rules and standarts. He is a noble lineage. It would be cool to be honest to see a story with that in mind but i like him better being the way he is" free from laws" good video imo, just my two cents.

This is likely the "proper" way, and shinigami that are up to the test likely have priority, when there are multiple candidates for promotion. 2. Probably used when there are no candidates available that meet the requirements above. A shinigami that has recently obtained bankai, but not yet mastered it would most likely be promoted this way. 3. If you can beat a captain, you're strong enough, bankai or not. The weirdest thing about Ichigo becoming a captain is, of course, that he's a living human.

Most of this argument are meant after his human death. As for the promotion to Soul King he must preserve his freedom.

he most likley be a captain once his living body dies. but not immodestly. i can see him replacing shinji and leading squad 5 as well since its colour relfects his older depiction of gesuga colour in his shikai. and the Insignia having 4 lillys on it can show his hybrid nature of being a off spring of 4 beings. also the Insignia Signifies does fit ichigo really well. but again wont for many many years after his death most likely.

I think a big reason is Squad Zero would have a harder time getting away with cutting up Ichigo to replace the soul king if need be. Cause imagine now having to explain this away to able body men and women following Ichigo. It'd be a much greater risk of exposing what happened.

The reason is simple, he's still alive. Once he dies and crosses over, then he might become a Captain.
