Kirio only became a squad zero member 100+ years ago. So there must be a former squad zero member that she replaced. Where are they? Did they die? Are they imprisoned? What did they contribute to Soul Society? Did they invent Kido?

The five members representing the five ancestors symbolically speaking makes sense, perhaps in the immediate aftermath of the gouging the ancestors stood guard over their 'kill' for a time before leaving the matter to others once Soul Society grew with Ichibei being the first for obvious reasons and since he was there.

There's also Lille, Gerard, Pernida, Askin and Uryuu. Yhwach also has 5, but that could just be to match the opponent numbers, and it's not including Jugram who is Sternritter Grandmaster instead of specifically being part of Yhwach's RG

It makes sense that there could only be 5 members because each of them acts as a general for one of the 4 cardnial directions Tenjiro is the general of the east Outsu is the general of the west Senjumaru is the general of the north Kirio is the general of the south And ichibei is the captain commander that lead them

When Kyoraku informed Aizen that Hikufune was promoted into squad 0, he unintentionally insured the existence of the Soul king. It was common knowledge that central 46 is the only authority above the Shinigami. Kyoraku is a noble, he has exclusive knowledge and let it slip. To Hioyri, Hikufune just disappeared out of nowhere. There wasn't even a goodbye. Urahara was the replacement.

I wish they would ask about the threats the shinigani face we have not seen yet... It could start a new series of novels at least since bleach is mostly Ichigos story

I think Ichibei speaks to Reio through reiatsu and passes down those orders from him.

I HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT MAYURI AND URUHARA WOULD BE PRIME CANDIDATES FOR THE ZERO SQUAD DUE TO THEIR OWN CONTRIBUTIONS.. IF NOT NOW, THEN CERTAINLY IN THE FUTURE, THEY WILL CREATE SOMETHING THAT WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING ABOUT SOUL SOCIETY.. IN THAT REGARD, I THINK IT WOULD BE FUNNY IF MAYURI WAS ACCEPTED, WENT TO THE ROYAL PALACE THINKING HE FINALLY BEAT URUHARA AT SOMETHING, ONLY TO REALIZE AFTER HE GOT THERE, URUHARA IS ALREADY THERE CHILLING OUT.. MAYURI SCREAMS

So wait, Yamamoto wouldn't have been promoted when Toshiro or someone succeeded him despite creating the Gotei 13 AND the Soul Reaper academy? I understand the theme and all, but that doesn't make a lot of sense. I guess this also confirms that the 7th Kenpachi getting offered a spot is not canon.

One thing we have to think about is that Kenpachi Kuruyashiki was invited to the Royal Palace as a member of the Zero Squad, but declined. If he accepted, would there have been 6 members?

There is no recommendation from reio. Hes not even alive or dead. He cant communicate. That whole reio being interested in ichigo and reio sending the zero squad to fix soul society was a lie. Its all ichibe. Soul king is just a battery. That whole irasusando being only allowed by the SK was a lie. It was part of the great weavers room.

If I had a membership to KlubOutside, I would ask if the five cities once belonged to the original 5 Great Nobles.

I think the original five members were members of the 5 noble clans.

We all know, Yamamoto and Unohana were the other family with Kenpachi Zaraki and Shuhei.... Zaraki said when he faced Unohana if he won, he was Captain and if he lost he would be a crininal... For attacking a Noble family princess... Unohana. Also, Unohana was able to enter Central 46 HQ easily with Isanne when she confronted Aizen, and no one objected to Zaraki and Unohana killing thousands in the Rukongai and unohana was a criminal and no one objected.

I am a little confuse right now, but if the 0 squad is immortal as long as the palace exist, so how could for example Hikifune replace someone, and on other hand, how can you be deemed unworthy of division 0 to get kicked from that organisation ?

If new Captains such as Senjumaru, Tenjiro replaces the previous Zero Division. Could it be possible that these two seats could be occupied by the original and first Gotei as we know once any of the Captain in 0 Division died any Captains from the current Gotei at which time is chosen to ascend
