Fun Fact 41: Did you know that YouTube used to have a dislike count?

Arun is the only person on whole youtube who is not getting any second skipped from me. From 1st till last, each and every word is absolutely well crafted. Hats off to you man. Keep it up. Really proud of you. 🥰

Nice youtube scripts you used there, i was hearing parents arguing but when I stopped the vid it still continued.

The dating app notifications on the thumbnail 😂😂😂😂
  • Hey Arun, regarding Numberphile's 301 vid at 5:07, the host, Brady Haran, actually explained what was going on with this on his and CGP Grey's podcast "Hello Internet". It's not so much a mystery but rather Youtube playfully going along with the theme. He was manually contacted by Youtube asking permission if they could stop the counter at 301 to add to the experience of the video while he will have access to the real view count 🙂

At 7:00, YouTube stopped giving out the 50 million custom awards because there are way too many channels hitting 50 million these days. The MrBeast award as well as the Dude Perfect award you used in the video isn't from YouTube, they were 3D printed by Daniel Krafft and gifted to them.

YouTube used to have a volume slider. Or does it still have on on desktops? And for a while, you could just download videos.
  • @SpizNitrate
that ending was perfectly executed, the "thank you for spending 12 minutes on this one" while the video was on point 12 minutes, made my day for no reason

Another fun fact: yt's age restrictions used to be a warning instead of not allowing underage accounts or others on indigo mode to watch them, they still use the warning, but only in a video that are extremely inappropriate offense according to their guidelines, and instead of using the same warning for videos of suicide or self harm like in the past, they gave them a special warning Edit: LMFAOOO I MENT INCOGNITO MODE-
  • Sees the thumbnail : oh 69 messages received from youtube dating app

Did you know back in the day YouTube had messages next to the notifications
  • Hi, just letting you know in 7:05 that the play buttons of dude perfect and Mr beast were not given by YouTube. They were given to them by another content creator who worked hard. Please credit them! Thank you
