The AAA video game industry has been pumping out games full of bugs, lies, missing content, and other garbage. They try to sell them to us for $70, but put in less effort than ever before. Why is this happening?

I remember being so overly hyped for the callisto protocol and then being so annoyed on launch day due to how unfinish the game felt on PC

Just my opinion, but I think the reason that modern games are often so half done is because it's easier to. They still end up making tons of money and enough gamers still buy them to encourage the developers to keep doing the same. Often times the more money they have, the less effort they will put in. It's why many indie developers today are getting more popular. When you have little money, you really need to make up for it by putting in a lot of effort and passion to make it a fun and memorable experience. Great video your best one yet! Now all you need to do to really draw in a lot of subscribers is- (Sorry but you seem to have only bought the base copy of this comment. Buy our DLC Comment Pack for only $30 to be able to fully view all comments. In our next updet, weh wil bay foxing the speeling bugs in abaot 6 monthz)
  • So happy this is finally being talked about now. Those big companies have gotten away from this for far too long now. Best video so far!
  • Those were the horrific days. When one could purchase a physical game. Not have to download patches or be connected to the internet and have a great experience that could be replicated anywhere so long as a few power sockets and a television were available. The horror.
  • lol i remember to get games we had to sell them, back in the day. My friends and I, or we traded. also that friends thing was spot on. We played ps2 gamecube wii, till the ps4 gen that was when we were mostly grown up and not in the same neighborhood.

the thing that i hate in this modern game era is, when you buy a game, you hope that the game you bought is the perfect version and there's nothing to worry about. all you have to do is play the game and you can enjoy playing it alone or together with your friends in multiplayer instead of online. game developers had to rethink how old games worked. or it will all be too late and destroy the gaming industry itself

5:27 I think you're missing that someone genuinely DID that what game and console? dead or alive 2 on the ps2 plus I remember wipeout pulse on the ps2 being able to corrupt memory cards, ghost rider ps2 had the easiest save corruption bug (touch the controller and the save corrupts) and I heard it's great I remember fate/extra CCC on the psp deadass telling the player that the game is unfinished

This is on point ๐Ÿ‘ I was saying back in the early days of the PS3/360 gen that games will start shipping out more and more busted since they can patch them later. I will say that I can't blame devs or publishers. I can only blame us the gamers for supporting games that do this stuff.

great video, but in the future would you consider turning down the music just a bit?

Bro there is a famous dialogue meme from a Hindi movie which says "Are baap re ye to dhoti khol Raha hai" which loosely translates to "Dude is ripping off clothes of a person to expose the truth".....i believe you are doing that for the "big" companies with your content. Thank you for voicing the EXACT words that goes through my head at 2:11 (though I'm older than the internet generation) but the feeling remains the same. After a long day of work when i find sometime to sit down and play and enjoy....and despite having 300Mbps connection.....30GB+ updates take a significant amount of time to download which is ANNOYING AS FAAAAAAKKKK and I'm immediately snapped out of my gaming mood. Companies be like...."hey we forgot to add an insect in the game.....let's push a 40 GB update"....and later...."whoops ...we added a BUG๐Ÿ˜ˆ.....now we gotta remove it by another 40 GB update." I feel getting OLD in the waiting times of these F**KING UPDATES. Great video bro. So good to see someone not only feeling the same but also putting it together in a well constructed video. Loved it...๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Keep growing b

Today, 21st of August, I saw on steam that Starfield is top selling games on Steam... What the hell we are talking about Bethesda who in 15 years couldn't release a game who did not need heavy patching. I hope I am wrong and but I have no faith into that being other than shit for 3 months
  • @KattSmulan
here's why indie games are better than AAA games now in my opinion, they dont take up 50 GB of space, they cost much less, they have less much bugs, the devs listen to the fans, most indie games have Banger OST, etc etc.
  • Alright algorithm... I'm early to this guy. Let's see if the video is up to snuff. Lol

Assassin's Creed Unity was the game that caused me to stop pre ordering video games.

  • @nsgames24
2:58 - 3:00 ๐Ÿ˜‚ Even though, it's true, I still hate that about modern gamin
  • @MatPost
CDPR doesn't deserve the pat on the back when CP2077 is still unifinished and mediocre as of now, 2 yrs from its released date. Don't let the anime fool you into buying their shit.

And on top of this, the fault also rests with the consumer. If you choose to pay for crap, you get crap. Sure, maybe the first or second time you can complain. Fair enough. However, if you keep giving your money to these companies. Then Iโ€™d say, you asked for it. Sadly speaking as well, there are many that do not care. Which is another issue. What we are seeing, are people that are vocal. However, most people are silent. Companies just look at the money, and that is what matters. Now, there are solitons. 1. Do not preorder games as you said. 2. Look elsewhere for games, and do not only play large titles. This will keep a cycle going. 3. Promote, recommend games you think are truly great. โ€”> Except Elden Ring. The only thing great about this game, is that it is not a scam. I think you get the point. The consumers are more at fault than the companies. A company cannot make money out of thin air, it has to come from somewhere. And where does that money come from? Well, the people who pay for the product.
