Arkane Studios has produced some of the best games of the last 2 decades. Dishonored 1 and 2, Prey, and Deathloop are all highly acclaimed games that sold millions of copies worldwide.
However Arkane's newest game, Redfall, has absolutely failed on launch. Let's look at some of Arkane's best games, and talk about the studio's future after the failure of Redfall.

prey is my favorite game of all time and it hurts so much to know that 70% of the team that worked on that game left the company after working on redfall which doesn’t give me much hope for a new game from arkane being as good as their past stuff

I finished DH1, the DLC's, DH2, DOTO then Prey all back to back. What an incredible time! Maybe they'll make another great game sometime. I believe some ex Arkane people made Weird West.

Great video Tayo, we share the same story about discovering Dishonored trough xbox 360 free thingy and then falling in love with immersive sim games, being now my fav videogame genre. I'll continue to patiently wait for a Dishonored 3 or Prey 2 or a new game but a good one, I still trust arkane even if their last thing I enjoyed by them was Prey 2 back in 2017..........

It’s very refreshing to hear the perspective of someone that young, to whom there’s nothing before Skyrim and Dishonored is new and unique. To me the Dishonored series was a breath of fresh air but also more like return to older type of games that I loved, like Half-Life, Soul Reaver, Thief, Bioshock etc. Btw my the first game that made me fall in love with Arkane was Dark Messiah of Might and Magic!

I was around 50 when I played the Dishonored games and yeah, at 50, I shared the same enthusiasm you did at 12 — that you still do. By the time I got to them it was the rereleased versions on the One X, but still the same experience. Harvey Smith at Arkane brings a lot of gameplay elements to Dishonored from the first two Deus Ex games he worked on at Ion Storm with Warren Spector. But those were probably released before you were born ;) I think Bethesda forced Arkane to do Redfall, from what I remember reading.

Whenever I play the dishonoured series, I make sure I finish it because it isn’t easy to say in a few words just how good these games are to me. Actually I would go as far as to say that I’m a fan and after exhausting hours of completion I started getting into the game called prey and honestly I really like it except the lack of stealth and a single mistake of getting an access code to certain areas can make you rage quit.
  • I forgot how gold used to give out free games each month, shit was my entire childhood

I still haven't played through an arkane game successfully. Their games on paper always seem perfect for me, but when playing them I just don't find myself having a good experience. I'm hoping to try again with Dishonored 1&2. Great video though dude.

This is a good video but I feel like you should've talked about Prey more bc Prey was strictly made by Arkane Austin like Redfall was
  • @hugostiglitz491
Yea I couldn't wrap my head around it either, I was very surprised by how bad it launched. I wasn't wild about it being a looter shooter and I didn't really like the characters either. I had played every other Arkane game, loved em, so I was willing to give Redfall a chance but I just couldn't. The reviews and gameplay I've seen make it look terrible.

Although it was Arkane Austin, Prey and Pret Mooncrash is two of my favorite games of all time.

If you love the original dishonored game you’ll shit a brick with the DLC if you haven’t already played it. I absolutely loved the Daud side of things, and what he did. These days DLC that good is standalone content🙄
  • @JackieBGoode
I've never played an Arkane game before but I still enjoyed watching this video

I pre installed Redfall off of gamepass and as soon as I saw it was locked 30FPS I immediately cancelled it before launch. Worked out lol
  • @FallingInTrances
If this whole sh*tfest with Redfall has done anything, it's to remind me just how good Dishonored was. I went back to replay D1 for the Gods-knows-how-manyth time after seeing all the Redfall reviews. I'd already put 300+ hours into that game, and here I am trying to do a Clean Hands/Ghost run on Hard dfficulty, and still finding new places/people/dialogues I'd not seen before. Likewise, I realised that Prey had been sitting in my 'To Play' library for eons, so I'm playing that for the first time as well, and absolutely loving it. I really don't know/understand how Arkane could have fallen so far, so badly. :/
  • i personally really liked deathloop but i understand why other people didn’t
  • @TR-707
That one segway made me astral project through multiple dimensions holy sh i was just here for the red fall bashing
  • I've never played the dishonored games. I never really knew if I'd like them or not. And i also cant afford to buy games atm so maybe one day ill give it a go.
