Jesus christ, that's a piebald deer. Imagine going out for a jog and one of the rarest animals on earth randomly comes up and starts nursing on your ankles.

“Why you keep asking where mom is? You’re right here”
  • @Venetian_Blue
“Ears are curled, Im alone in the world. Ears are straight, all is great!” Obviously their ears are not the only indication of how a fawn is doing. But when they start crying out, they need help, because they are usually quiet to avoid predators. What a beautiful coat on the little guy. ❤

I'm not an emotional man but I've got a tear in my eye. Bless you for going back. What a beautiful animal.

omg when he tried to suckle her 😭😭😭😭 He must have been desperate. Can you imagine how many of these babies just run up to some random predator out of desperation and right into their jaws? I mean it's nature but I'm glad she's the one he ran into

Her: Aww where's your mom? Deer: I dunno, but you're now my mom.
  • he is literally one of the most beautiful creatures I’ve ever seen.

That's a piebald deer, it's common for the mother's to abandon them due to their genetic defect. Had one in my neighborhood that grew to full size, so its mom didn't reject her/him. Definitely is an eye opener when you see one.

Woman: "I'm not your mom." Fawn: "Yes you are." It looks like the fawn was right all along.
  • You know a wild animal is in deep pain when it approaches humans with no hesitation
  • @scottmaxim8045
The fawn was abandoned because it is a "Piebald Deer", which is a deer that has white fur due to a mutation. Many times, the mother will abandon the deer, but even if the mother attends to the fawn, the white in their fur often gives their position away to predators. Seeing an adult piebald deer in the wild is a rarity, so if you do see one, grab a picture! It's an exceptional survivor!

There are no words to describe how special you are. You are special and the world is a better place because of you. Thank you.

Fawns know to stay where their mothers leave them while she searches for food. For it to be walking around means that it's mother did not come back. You did a wonderful thing. God bless you.

Woman: “Where’s your Mommy?” Deer: “Lady, if I knew that I wouldn’t be sucking on your ankles, now go get me some milk like a good human.” 😂 🤣
  • I just want to give the beautiful creature a gentle cuddle and make sure they’re okay ❤️ Thank you for being kind
  • @darkwaterz2120
The fawn has a rare mutation in his pelt called “Piebald”, his mother most likely abandoned him, because of his coloring isn’t easy to hide from predators.

If a baby deer is up and moving around, mom isn't coming back.
  • @goatitisful
