I've seen a meteor.....I swear, its the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life. I even saw the flares....red, green & blue. I thought it was a firefly but then it got closer & bigger........its just so beautiful.....

I saw one of these in the Caribbean late at night and it was a once in a lifetime sight. Had no clue what just happened and I finally found a video of what it looked like

This reminds me of this one night back in high school, me and a group of my mates (who I still keep in contact with) drove down to our local beach at around 5pm, we decided to start a big fire and get stoned like we always did. A few hours go by and before we knew, it was 10pm, just hitting curfew for our licence limitations, So we decided to bury the fire to put it out, empty the bongs and get walking back to the car, on our way back under the stars we were walking single file back so we didn’t trip over all the drift wood in the dark, as we got about 30feet from our mates car two of us saw a bright green streak go across the sky behind the small patch of cloud and disappeared like it was nothing. We didn’t say anything to each other until we started driving. “Hey...back when we were walking, did anyone see that bright gre-“ “Green line in the sky? Like someone ran their finger over the top of icing of a cake, yeah I did.” Just as I was about to reply we saw another bright green streak directly in front of us, from out of sight above us to directly down below the horizon. Two of the bros brushed it off like it was nothing, me and my bro who saw it earlier were flipping out we had seen TWO bright green streaks in the sky exactly the same looking. It was literally one of the most beautiful lights I had seen. The mark they left after flying passed was amazing then just to watch it fade from the end of the tail to the other end was cool too. The green was such an amazing glow (almost like the aurora green colour) and it lit the small patch of cloud that was hanging around too so it looked so good. I wish I had taken a picture, it would definitely had been a beautiful one, especially how the brightness accentuated the dark hills and trees off in the distance.

That meteor at 1:20 was in New Zealand. I didn't see it but I heard it as many people did, it was damn loud!

Back in 2004-2005, our family took a trip to northern Arkansas. One night we were out trolling (fishing) on the lake, and my brother and I were absolutely terrified of this purple, green, yellow, blue ball coming at us from the heavens. The whole encounter took about 10 minutes in total, our family thought it was absolutely hysterical.

So beautiful, yet so deadly.
