so without spoilers, It's Raining Somewhere Else is a song that plays during a somber yet meaningful conversation in a chill restaurant
-
You might notice, "sans." and "It's Raining Somewhere Else" share a similar motif. Welcome to the Undertale music rabbit hole!
-
You can't go wrong with any piece on this OST. The OST is so good and full of heart that going through everything is worth it.
-
Oh also (Extra comment) Incase you missed it the Xylophone melody in "Its raining somewhere else" is a slowed down/rearranged ver of the previous song you listen to "sans". Funny how this happened by complete chance 😅 The composer of Undertale Toby Fox loves to use motifs in his work and this is a little taste of that. You'll find familiar melodys throughout the ost and its super cool to pic them out and have "Hey! I remember that!" moments

I think it’s incredible how sans. Played on accident, and the song you choose is the one of the only other songs to share the leitmotif
-
Waterfall and spear of justice share a leitmotif but have very different tone, a good example of how every song in the soundtrack is connected even when they sound different
-
What a surprise, love undertale! If you're looking for more you should listen to "Finale", its my favourite from the ost!
-
Undertale's OST is fantastic, I would absolutely check out any follow up videos!
-
You should listen to all of the Undertale OST. Pretty much every single piece of music is a 10/10.
-
If you ever do enough one of these a recommend that you do “ghost fight”, “Dummy!”, “Spider dance” and “Mad mew mew” all in succession to one another.

The piano is my favorite instrument in music, ESPECIALLY when it comes to chill, sad and/or melancholic songs. The combination with the vibraphone (an instrument similar to the xylophone) in "It's Raining Somewhere Else" makes it easily my favorite song in the game. As for that part where you say you don't know anything about this game, Undertale is a retro-style, turn-based RPG in which you have to manually move around to avoid enemy attacks. Your own attacks are timed too. As such, it's more involved than your average oldschool turn-based RPG. It's primarily touted as an RPG in which you don't have to kill any enemy, but the choice of killing vs not killing is yours (and it affects the story). It has a very vocal fanbase and it's not recommended as a game to stream or make videos of (unless you avoid the comment section entirely) because a lot of the fans will demand you play their way and/or constantly spoil things. It is a game worth playing if you like quirky humor and aren't afraid of letting a game emotionally get to you on a more "meta" level.

Using that 99 keyboard setting you were talking about is totally something Toby would do for his music lol
-
i kind of find it meaningful how you chose to listen to it's raining somewhere else right after sans. that one's my favorite soundtrack in the game, i'd like to see your reaction to the scene in game
-
I really enjoyed this i am excited to see more from the undertale ost in the future :D
-
Try Battle against true hero too! it's really great
-
These tracks gain so much from their context and the situations they play in, It's a really cool effect and also works the other way around, but that's normal.
-
You have to play Undertale to fully experience this OST!
-
Hopes and Dreams is one of the best tracks as well
-
Loved it! You react pretty well, i pray for more of those
-
