Beating 5 Scam Arcade Games with Science

Published 2022-09-17
I built 5 robots to beat the 5 most popular arcade games. If you want to unlock the magic of engineering in your life, go to (for teenagers and older) OR… (for teenagers and younger).

I started a company called CrunchLabs where we build a toy together and then I teach you all the juicy physics for how it works. So if you want to learn to think like an engineer and have really fun time doing it, check out the current promotion where you get 2 FREE boxes at…

You should also go subscribe to the CrunchLabs YouTube channel cause we’ve got some bangers in the pipeline-

And if you want that backpack (minus the contraptions to win all the games), you can find it here-

Yes that is the plants vs zombies music! Credit to the inimitable Laura Shigihara-

I'm trusting you guys with to use the PEZ trick responsibly!! And I know it's been a hot minute since I've posted, but my videos take a lot of work and I've got 3 more BANGER vids to drop before the end of the year!

I took your advice and built all of these things. It took me a while. About 160 hours of design and build with about $8000 out of pocket. But I successfully got a bunch of tickets which I traded for a $3 stuffed animal, so who’s laughing now?? Haha, I totally swindled them!

I guarantee you, as someone who works in an arcade, if anyone I work with caught you doing this, we'd all think you were really cool and warn you what our manager looks like

Imagine being an Arcade worker and seeing the same guy on the security feed 9 different times in 1 day with slightly different backpacks everytime.

I miss when arcades and amusement halls were largely dominated by games of skill, where challenge was both an incentive to keep playing and a protection on return.

What an awesome video idea. Keep the content coming, Mark! This is lit for real. It's crazy how the human mind can think like this.

For games like key master usually they set the payout to be about 50x to 100x what the items worth, but I don't think it can be any higher as there are laws around it
