I say my prayers nightly to the YouTube algorithm
  • @GooLagg
This is American YouTube though, if you set your account to a different country you're gonna get completely different videos like maybe MrBeast in Spanish
  • @ryan--
The algorithm really treated it like a kid was watching on a dads account because the second the mrbeast videos stopped it immediately went to sports, documentaries, mafia stories, to full on movies.
  • @muqmanor
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the algorithm realized that he kept skipping all the way to the end of the Mr. Beast videos instead of actually watching them and that's the only reason it started giving him anything else.
  • @jaesthetic6998
the fact that Mr Beast is video #2 and shoved down your throat for 130+ straight videos is actually insane
  • @orphantheism
i love that the first video is a heartfelt, genuine, sincere video, and then the last one is just pirated content. nothing else can explain the way youtube has grown so well

13:34 Fun Fact: DDOI is actually blacklisted on the frontpage of youtube, and likely from autoplay recommendations as well. This is because Youtube doesn't want compilation channels to be trending, so they cannot appear on the home page. It might just be that these channels haven't been flagged as compilation channels
  • @MeloDyingg
Watching three hours of that stream into that short had me DYING. It was such a tone shift that I can’t describe
  • @CraftyalGaming
Ludwig getting the final channel banned is something. That man’s drawings won’t see the light of day again.
  • @daviroyota
22:03 THE CAT SHORTS MOMENT, OMG I CAN'T I laughed so hard, it wasn't even that funny
  • Someone i’ll fall asleep with youtube auto play on and every single time i wake up either Vsauce counting prime numbers or tom scott driving is playing literally every single time
  • @CyberCrow4
5:45 The way the button didn't actually light up, did the algorithm understand the implications? :D
  • @VenomousMoses
I will say that although I much preferred the line immediately after the soft reset, it did ruin the science of trying to figure out where YouTube auto play takes you after 1000 videos if left undisturbed.
  • @hxn1_
Please we need to see 1000 shorts 💀💀💀 it'll take a lot less tiem but it will also be very traumatic for the eyes
  • @mikeroni
There’s so many things the algorithm could theoretically take into account that you just can’t control for. Time of day, when you pause/play a video, how long you pause/play a video, the wifi network you’re connected to (and location), other people also connected to that network, cookies in your browser, etc, etc Fun experiment though
  • @nicorobin5978
If Google didn't have a bunch of personal info about what I like, I guess I'd be watching MrBeast videos and random episodes of the Good Witch instead of videos about One Piece and Pokemon.
  • @Zavalas_SMT1
Ive noticed autoplay on my account at least likes to play a bunch of vods, every time i wake up im halfway on a 4 hour long ludwig video
  • @joshkeatley7523
He should have tried this experiment by going into Google Chrome incognito mode, deleting all cookies, or using a different computer. Even if you have recommendations turned off, YouTube is still using cookies to recommend stuff to you.
