I mean YT Shorts are really only good if you're watching the shorts from people you already watch or you already have the algorithm tuned to your tastes. I reckon TikTok is kind of the same, but also even better for bumping into random content outside of your comfort zone.

the biggest difference between these apps is that tiktok keeps you in every community that you show interest in, youtube shorts doesn't care what you like at all, and instagram is like the middle ground, except there's actually just 0 moderation
