43 years after Lennon's death, and 22 years after Harrison's death, the remaining two Beatles Starr and McCartney managed to give a final finishing song to the band, closing the chapter of the greatest band in history.

The Beatles making history again.

A minute of silence in honor of all the loyal fans who didn't live to see this legendary moment.

This video brought tears to my eyes. Such an emotional song, sad and sweet. I was 13 when I saw The Beatles at Shea Stadium. I'm 72 now.
-
Can’t believe I was alive to witness the last Beatles song. So wonderful.

Originally the demo from the late seventies seems that John is singing about missing his relationship with Ringo, George and Paul, longing for reconciliation. Fast forward forty years later and the song feels like Its from Ringo's and Paul's perspective, missing their dead friends, longing to be reunited. A unique song that transcends time while possessing a dual perspective and meaning. An incredibly beautiful and poignant final song.

I was 14 years old when the Beatles made it big. Today, I’m 73. Their songs were the soundtrack of my high school and college years. Their impact, their contributions, their influence on music, on our culture for decades, are simply peerless. Thanks to 21st century technology we can see them together again… What a tribute!

My dad passed away back in May just turned 65, he was a huge Beatles fan we buried him in a Beatles t-shirt. When he found out they finished ‘Now and Then’ he couldn’t have been more happy, and glad he heard this song before he passed away.
