  • I'm a student of history, and of the origins of Tang Soo Do was invented by Hwang Kee, and Tang Soo Do is a hybrid korean martial arts based on 4 styles: Subak, Taekkyon, Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, and Shotokan Karate. So it would be interesting if Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, & Hayden Schlossberg included or blended Hwang Kee's origins of Tang Soo Do. One more topic of discussion, I'm kinda upset that Tang Soo Do didn't get enough recognition and popularity as Tae Kwon Do has. Remember, Without Tang Soo Do, there wouldn't be Tae Kwon Do. Think about it.

All right guys! I've done some math, and Master Kim is officially not as we think: Remember, he was "still a young boy" when the Japanese started conscripting Koreans to the Imperial Army during the occupation, and that didn't happen until 1944. The age of conscription was lowered to 17, but the age of majority in Korea was 19, so he would still have been considered a child in the eyes of the law at the time. That's also true if he was 18, so he was necessarily either born in 1926 or 1927, making him either 17 or 18 in 1944, and 53 or 54 in 1980. That'd make him 93 or 94 years old in 2019.

Offense is better in combat than defense… just sayin . Be miagi until it’s time to be cobra Kai 😂..
  • @radrickdavis
Miagi forbidden technique learned by Chosun gives them an extra edge if they choose to use it. Kim's edge is the psychology and dirty politics he uses to make sure the battlefield is always giving him the unfair advantage his opponents are unaware of.

Wait did I hear that right? Kim da eun will have a redemption after seeing Kreese manipulating Tory? Umm no
  • I am excited for a future Prequel series focusing on Kim Sun Yung passing on his wisdom to his first student George Turner when the captain was in his early adulthood
  • Kim da eun had no problem with how Kreese handled The student's, she was only confused about what his plan was a for them was,and when kim Saw kwon take over as The top student, by beating down 3 other student's including her golden boy, she was very pleased because kwon fell in line revealing she never cared about who was The best fighter was, as long as they were strong and obedient so she admired Kreese and his methods because he braught out The best in kwon 😂

1:46 “Tony” Silver? Did I hear that right? 13:11 did he really just use “toxic masculinity” here, because Kim Da-Eun is a total saint right lol

All those forms of martial arts are but mere shadows, Sinanju is the sun. Chiun comes from a long line of hired assassins called the House of Sinanju that has pursued its trade since before the time of the pharaohs. (Chiun explains that Tutankhamun was killed by a Sinanju master after attempting to defraud the House by reneging on a contract.) Sinanju is a village on the coast of North Korea; the Korean translation is, literally, "comfortable new village". Historically, revenues from the House's contracts have been used to support the inhabitants. Early disciples of the art used weapons, but the later practitioners developed virtually superhuman abilities through the training as it became revised following the ascension of Master Wang, the greatest master of the art up until modern times. Sinanju training enables one to hold one's breath for over an hour, rip steel doors from their hinges, climb walls, dodge bullets (even at point-blank range), overturn a moving tank, outrun a car, seem invisible, overcome multiple opponents, and bring a woman to the heights of sexual ecstasy. According to Chiun, the other martial arts in the world (kung fu, ninjutsu, etc.) are all seriously diluted imitations of Sinanju. He compares the other arts to rays of sunshine with Sinanju being the sun itself. He also refers to an ancient Sinanju legend which predicts that the greatest master in the history of the art will be a dead white Night Tiger (Sinanju acolyte) "made whole by the art." Remo appears to fit the description in Chiun's estimation.

Something tells me Kim is Miyagis first student (who went bad)… Kim is probably the one who went to the tournament, not miyagi.
  • @mikemelara9591
I also believe that Julie will come back to fight sensei Kim’s granddaughter possibly
  • Wanna bet Mr Kim was in the same Tekkai Sekai (probably not spelled right!) as Mr Miyagi?
  • I like your theory and I would love to see kim taking down her grandfather and kreese but I think it will be the other way around if kim was behind the death of Grace. Kreese will finally understand that CK is evil in his roots and we see that scene with the shocking face kreese [leaked pic]. I mean it makes no sense for Kim's redemption if Julie comes back because she would fight kim
  • @mikemelara9591
I think master Kim faced Mr miyagi during the sekai tekai.
  • @teddyj5187
Maybe they fought in the tournament and Kim is the one who bloodied him.

How did the impoverished fugitive John Kreese fly from the U.S. to South Korea, back to the U.S., and finally to Spain, without getting caught? 😆
