  • I was there in 2022 to see Artemis I from the Saturn V centre ("Feel the Heat" tickets). Actually had to fly home after the first 2 attempts and then return in Novembe r for the Launch. Long way from wertern Canada (Edmonton). Well worth the trips and wait. I've been waiting since 2014 after EFT-1. I'll be there for Artemis 2 launch.
  • Nice. The Artemis 1 launch was spectacular, can't wait for another.
  • Orange rocket good!!!! Thank you NSF for your live coveragee of SLS Core Stage Roll To the VAB!!!!
  • Can’t wait to watch this monster take off! Go Artemis ll !
  • Great stream NSF team, Philip Sloss gave us a lot of extra information and insite, thanks Philip.
  • On the Utopia of the Seas, the boat went right past us when we left port! Guess I chose the right cruise! :D

Crazy fact, Raptor v3 has more thrust than a RS-25. Another crazy fact. A RS-25 cost around $100m each (hoping to bring that down to $70m), Raptor cost around $0.25m each. Both have been designed for reuse.

The History Guy did a cool video about the Pregnant Guppy!!! The first of the Guppy planes that was used to transport the Saturn second stage!!!

That wide angle shot is amazing with 39A with Falcon and Starship to the right and 39B with mobile launcher in the middle of the shot. Shows how stupidly tall Starship tower is.
  • @jaypaint4855
This happened for the first core stage like a year and a half before the last Artemis launch right?
  • Great stuff! Great to see the progress being made with Artemis II! I just can't wait to see Artemis III with astronauts landing on the Moon again at long last! Let's get that moon-base set up and running!

"Selene" would be a good mythological name for the Orion capsule going around the moon. "Borman" could be an Apollo 8 reference. "Endeavour" is a nice reference backwards to ships.

Concise as ever! 3 hours to tell us what we could figure out in 5 minutes. ;-)

While it's great to see the core stage roll out, it's hard for me to get excited about it considering the timeline and how long before launch. I've probably become jaded due to SpaceX's rapid development and launch schedules

I've been spoiled by the pace and efficiency of Spacex. This looks like a regular job site with a bunch of people standing around.
  • Adding a section to the Solid Boosters only adds thrust! Why? Because visualize the solid booster stack like a stack of lifesavers (the candy). There is a hole (inside diameter) that runs the entire length (except the nose). When you see it burn, it doesn't burn from bottom to top, the ENTIRE INSIDE DIAMETER FULL LENGTH burns . It is the wall thickness that burns. When you add 10 ft section, it adds fuel area (pi x d x length).
