As a veteran from the 82nd airborne. I can remember clearly being pulled into a hovel 6 miles outside of Baghdad. Took 4 rounds to my legs and was saved by an Afghan family whom I now haven't heard from in 14 months. This song touches my soul.

I wanted to drink so bad the last few days. My sobriety has been so good for me and my family my wife and this new life. I felt triggered and almost gave in. Then I remembered this song and listened to it 3 or 4 times in a row. I cried my f'n eyes out and now? I'm still sober and stronger! Thank you, Tom I can't explain the importance of your music. How can anyone put a price on something like that?

I'm 56 years old and I don't listen to mainstream music. I don't listen to much rap but Macdonald has changed me. I've been depressed and feeling like I'm all alone in my own head after the death of my wife to cancer. Thank you Tom for helping me stay alive. Keep up the great work. I love all your work.

This really hits home! I’m almost 46, have been through a lot in my years. Injuries, pain, both physically and emotionally, and I battled back and beat my demons and addiction. Almost 6 years sober, wanting to say thank you for this song, it speaks to me.
