Description

After leaving the station, the train will pass over a switch and make an S-turn to the right, onto the launch track. Once the switch changes positions behind the train, the train will launch forward towards the 420-foot (130 m) top hat element at 74 mph (119 km/h), rolling back partway up the tower. Reaching the launch track again, the train will launch in reverse at 101 mph (163 km/h), past the station, and climb a 420-foot (130 m) vertical spike in reverse. Rolling forward onto the launch track for the third launch, the train will accelerate to 120 mph (190 km/h) and ascend at a 90-degree angle, twist 90 degrees clockwise, and climb over the top hat. Upon descending, the track will twist 270 degrees before leveling out, allowing the train to be stopped by the magnetic brakes. The switch track will then reset to allow another train to launch.

Thanks for giving us the awesome povs throughout the years!
  • @aaronswords404
I'm still surprised at how this thing flies over the top hat. I am assuming you get some ejector when it hits the top.
  • @elzzihsob
judging by the wind noise, this ride is nuts
  • The up-to-down Spike transition is a savory experience. The run up, over & down the Top Hat is faster & more intense than Dragster. Especially the twist going down. The increased speed coupled with higher seating really flings you around! A more intense "bottoming out" too. Fun Times!

With this re-do of the original Top Thrill Dragster, one can argue that Zamperla has become a legit coaster manufacturer that can be more than just wild mice or flat rides.
  • @jdivergh22
It really is an epic coaster. I've rode it three times so far. Going back tomorrow for another ride or two at the very least. This highly exceeded my expectations!
  • @HockeyGUY66871
This is a massive improvement over the original. It now feels like a complete ride.
  • At what point do all us haters tell Zamperla we were wrong? I will admit that I was definitely one of them in the beginning. Didn't think they could pull it off. My trip is booked for the 3rd week of August. If TT2 has gone all summer without any real issues and we get to tear it up for the 3 days we are in town. My brother and I vowed to both hand write a letter of apology to the team at Zamperla.

The engineers at Zamperla are somewhere laughing because everyone thought they couldnā€™t pull it off šŸ’Æ
