The guy who parachuted into Shea is a great friend. Spent 6 months in prison instead of ratting out his buddy who would’ve no doubt got a much larger sentence.

15:35 Up to that point, the Marlins had a graphic that said “It’s been XXX days since the last Marlins Home Rain Delay”. The Marlins stopped showing or announcing this graphic after this Rain Delay, and never did it again.

"Unfortunately, reports say he was caught." Damn that's disappointing, his escape was pretty impressive.

I'm surprised you didn't mention that this season a Rockies/Orioles game was delayed by a swarm of bees getting on the field and needing to be relocated.
-
Was there for the fish delay, probably one of the most traumatizing. Lucky I survived

Caldwell also pitched a no hitter like 10 days after being struck by lightning!
-
imagine being in the batters box and seeing the pitcher release the ball then the lights go out 💀

As a Canadian, 2 inches of snow is not a blizzard. A blizzard is when you get a foot of snow in a few hours.

There was once a baseball game called on account of volcano. The Spokane Indians (at the time the AAA affiliate of the Seattle Mariners) had a game that got canceled as a result of ash from the the Mount St. Helens eruption.

HAHA I was at that Pickles game! We've really made it now!!! The lights didn't just randomly go out. The park district owns Walker Stadium and usually shuts off the lights at midnight. This night, the game went 12 and they agreed to an extension of 12:15. At 12:15 and one second, boom, lights out, ballgame made up a month later. Go Pickles!

The clearing of the stands into dugout and clubhouse levels for a tornado siren is not a response out of panic. It was the planned safey procedure and is a pretty good plan. Obviously, fans are free to leave if they want but providing shelter underground is probably your safest bet. Barring a worst case scenario (in which theres no way to survive conditions), sheltering under ground level will be your best option to survive. Kudos to those employees and fans acting calm under pressure with a literal siren blaring at them!

I like how I'm watching this during a rain delay at Wrigley Field 💀

"Is it a bird?" "Is it a plane?" "No, it's a dead fish!"

Taking photos with a fire as a joke is the most braves thing ever

The announcers reaction when the lights went out had me rolling. 😂

During the 2017 total solar eclipse, a number of minor-league games were specially scheduled to coincide with the eclipse and so had the first-ever eclipse delays.
-
It was a short delay, but I remember a bird getting obliterated as it flew in front of home plate. I also remember a swarm of bees causing a delay...
