Unironically I think you need a regular 9-5 job/career. It's boring but in a sense it gives you a lot of structure and purpose in life. Plus an automatic social circle.

The way I was politely nodding while you were talking about the bad mani/pedi experience but then GASPED out loud when you showed the photo 😰 noooo, so unacceptable. I’m so proud of you for standing up for yourself - being a natural people pleaser is so damn hard.
  • So I’m a stylist and my opinion is let it fade (about a month) then go to a salon and I’d ask to do a ash toned gloss you’re currently at a level 3 but I’d say it’ll fade to a 4/5 level and you can tone with a gloss like redken’s Brown Smoke mixed with Dark Roast. Also to speed up fading you can use a clarifying shampoo once a week so you don’t dry out too much

LA is not a bad idea, but you can't do the same thing as last time and expect different results. Making lasting friendships instead of shallow ones that end quickly, and doing something you feel is an achievement will help. Like, do a Korean degree, or work somewhere that needs Korean/English speakers one day a week. Hang out with people who aren't influencers and get out and about more.

Can't wait for the "Moving back to St Louis...LA wasnt the vibe i thought" video in like 6 month.
  • @jalyassin
It seems so many people on YouTube feel like they're 'too good' for the cities where they're from so they move to LA because it's happening and it's much more cool to say "LA is my vibe" than "St Louis is my vibe", but then they go there and spend their days being miserable, feeling inadequate and becoming completely unrelatable to their audience.

not you already going into hiding after a month moving back to LA 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think just being around friends and being more social helps with your mental health. Getting ready to go out and actually trying helps alot. you have so much to look forward to in this next chapter, just try not to overthink things and tell yourself everything will be okay!

The nail story had me SHOOK especially when the picture came up. I'd definitely be crying all the way home cause your nails are usually gorg especially when you do them yourself 😭 Here's to better manicures (and less people pleasing!) in LA 🥂

I love you kalel and it's not the social norm to jump around alot and thats fine its uour life. But poor buki, moving stresses out cats and especially older cats. Please find some structure for the babes.
  • @JunkHERO99
Wow didn’t expect you to turn out this way, you use to be so fully of cheer and hope. Guess you gotta find actual substance in life and ignore the superficial stuff.
  • @Tarrontrades
Hey Kalel, I hope this prolonged period of not posting is a good thing! I hope you’re just busy enjoying LA and settling in. You got this!
  • Ive been following for YEARS! more than a DECADE since u were in college or something. Im 36 now and my advice is that we need to learn from our past. I feel like you are trying to brush off the difficult times u had in LA and go back and TRY AGAIN! yes sometimes we need to be persistan but u going back to LA is like getting back w that awful boyfriend that we broke with that had a 1000 red-flags. I think you need to FIND YOURSELF and thats not done by moving or by trying to go back in time where things seem better. Best of luck on your journey. I hope u dont regret this one

I’ve been watching Kalel since she had blue hair. She will never follow through with anything and re-invent herself many times. Maybe she likes living that way.
  • @bibby42
You're an impulsive and emotional person, that tends to make reckless decisions. You need structure and discipline in your life. LA at 20 might seem fun and spontaneous, but LA at 34 when you know better already is just plain crazy. We care about you and want you to find happiness, but it has to come from within yourself and not come from things.
  • @kayleighroche4672
excited for the new era 🥰 hope the moving process went well! i can't wait to see your interior design skills at work in your new place!

sometimes we all need a good hermit mode but we know when it’s time to change things up. i’m from kansas and moved to seattle — i love seeing my family when i go home but it’s too quiet and slow. hopefully you feel confident in the lessons learned from both experiences and just find your groove
  • @jenna9355
I’m confused didn’t she already move out of LA because it made her unhappy?
